Pleasure guys, glad you enjoyed it.

That is fantastic Eland. The farm is a great looking place also. Looks like it would be a fun place to hunt. Bruce

Stunning video of Namibia, with some great eland pictures too!

Fantastic !

Magnificent beast...

The story is also published in the new African Hunting Gazette 17.3 Focus on Namibia.

Nice Eland a once in a life time trophy WOW! would love to know what else is hiding on that property You know when you take something like that there should be something else that really awesome too, tell tale sign of low hunting pressure!

Thanx alot for that comment Jaco!
Then freakin other people moan about the 5-6 eland that are taken on that farm per YEAR!
and the quota is something like 12-15 per year. There was a game count and they counted close to 300 eland alone on the farm, thats outside the kudu and gemsbuck and some giraffe and small game,on 8000 ha and at the rate they have calves that quota number doesnt even make a mark, and they only take half of the quota,
the main concern on this farm is cattle farmingHopefully that will shut them up.
This farm only gets hunted 2 months of the year, june/july
And yes there is lots of big kudu bulls there aswell! A view over 60" already, the average is about 53" and this on a open farm.

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
