Well Hurrah to Hornady!!!

Great to see a company step up and stand up. Hopefully others will follow this example;)

This was proposed a month or so ago, so I guess it has actually happened!

Now that's turning the tables on them.

That is the kind of action we need as a community. I will now be trying the bonded dgx just because of this.

Almost as cool as Ronny Barrett sending the letter to California Police departments after the state banned 50 BMG’s that he didn’t need to get in a hurry fixing their rifles because if the people didn’t need them neither did the police.
Good job Steve Hornady! Thank You for putting your values ahead of their money! I need a new powder measure, gonna order the Hornady auto measure right now!

Quote from Barrett-

"Barrett cannot legally sell any of its products to lawbreakers. Therefore, since California's passing of AB50, the state is not in compliance with the US Constitution's 2nd and 14th Amendments, and we will not sell nor service any of our products to any government agency of the State of California. Good for both mentioned companies.

For many reasons, Hornady is my favorite bullet maker. This is another reason....................FWB

It appears that many of the members whom were bad mouthing Hornady bullets/ammo on a thread a few months ago may have a change of heart!

I still wouldn't use the DGX or DGS hunting if you gave me a case of them. DGX Bonded, we'll see. But one has nothing to do with the other. I still have dies and brass made by Hornady. I will give them credit where I think it's due and here it is.

Well done Hornady!!!!! This is how we need to fight these blatant and disgusting abusive elected officials & companies who do not do business with the NRA because of X, Y, Z reasons. Hit them where it hurts.

Now, if every other ammunition, firearms, and accessory maker would cut them off as well. That should be enough to get their attention.

thats the problem...

Hornady created a void (good on them!)..

But.. sadly, one of the big manufacturers will be more than happy to fill it.. and there will be little to no impact on the agencies that were using Hornady..

They'll just be carrying winchester/remington/federal/ etc once their hornady stockpiles run out..

Sorry friend but for the Ruling Class in New York they will see this as a win. Commissar Cuomo is running for a third term he faces a primary challenge from an HBO porno actress and they are racing to see who can out liberal who. That's why Andy is threatening and blackmailing the Wall Street bankers if they do business with Gun and Ammo manufactures.

The void will be hard to fill. When S and W tried to take money from the Clinton admin, they got boycotts. Save for a few upstate counties, it’ll be hard explain why they are giving ammo to New York

Interesting angle. Like most previous posts I thought good on Hornady for taking a stand, but some other ammo company will gladly take the business. If this story gets any national play it could put pressure on those companies thinking of supplying this ammo to take a step back, and figure in the bad press to the cost of doing business.

I purposely have been buying hornady Brass over their competitors since the announcement though. Nothing wrong with their brass, and I am getting low on HXP 30-06 brass

The NRA should ask the other manufacturers if they will support the stances taken by Hornady and Barrett. It would be important for their membership to know to make an informed choice.

LOL. The NRA doesn't even have the guts to use their own name in NY. They hide behind another organisation (nys rifle and pistol) and take the money. The president of NYSRPA is on NRA board and gets to double dip on his expense account.

When the SAFE act was passed, an all encompassing anti gun bill after Sandy Hook shooting, NRA under guise of NYSPRA; said wait.....they still years later never filed any meaningful actions in court but raked in huge monies from gun owners here hoping for help.

This boycott stuff is all fine and well; where was all this support then?

The National Shooting Sports Foundation (NSSF) has canceled Dick’s Sporting Goods’ membership, thereby expelling the company from the organization.

Dick’s Sporting Goods recently hired a Washington D.C.-based government affairs firm, for “[l]obbying related to gun control.” Dick’s Sporting Goods CEO Edward W. Stack announced earlier this year the retail chain would end sales of modern sporting rifles, voluntarily raise the age to 21 to purchase firearms in their stores and called for more restrictive legislation.

Dick’s later announced they would destroy the remaining modern sporting rifle inventory. NSSF responded that business decisions should be individually made, but was nonetheless disappointed and the decision does not reflect the reality of the vast majority of law-abiding gun owners.

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
