Holland & Holland 500/465. Made 1941.
So why rangoon oil from Army & Navy and the A&N catalog. Well it was purchased new from their big store in Bombay. On the postcard from 1941 you can see how the store looked.
Also the cotton patch box has the Bombay stamp on it. This store closed in the end of the raj.
Both turn screws has the H&H stamp on it and so has the Rangoon jelly and the original ammo box both with the correct Bond street adress.
Perfect condition and shoots better than I can aim. Love the colors on the action as well

Cool rifle! First time I’ve ever seen an 500/465 H&H on the ottoman of an Eames chair.

Very nice indeed. I like how you have all the paraphernalia for the rifle.

Interesting rifle. Bolsters on a H&H Royal action chambered for anything above .375 is a rarity. Congrats, that is a fine, fine rifle.

I think it was after 1912 they started with bolsters on the action

That’s a gorgeous rifle. Well done!

Hello,

I saw your post selling left hand rifles. Do you have any additional pics of the .416 Rem mag?

Thank you.
