Hi all,

I'm new to the board, and glad to be here. Long time lurker, first time poster; I really enjoy the content on here, and thought I would start an account.

I am an avid hunter, mostly for meat, and the occasional nice trophy. I have been to Africa twice, and would love to go again. I also fish, shoot competitively, and that kind of thing.

Hoping to learn lots more from interacting instead of just reading on the forum.

Welcome aboard. What kind of competitive shooting do you do? You’re in good company here.

Welcome to the posting side.

:S Welcome:

These days mostly small stuff, like local precision rimfire competitions.
Back in my hayday I used to compete on the Canadian Armed Forces Reserve rifle team, and the DCRA/BCRA service conditions shoots. That was before the Liberal Government banned all our fun stuff up in Canada.

Small stuff is good stuff. I shot three position small bore mostly.

Good day! Welcome to AH!

Welcome aboard the best Africa and Safari forum there is. We seam to have a few things in common, BC residents, hunting and fishing, and I was Canadian Navy for 34 years.

Welcome to the site.

Welcome to AH Kootenay Hunter!

Welcome to AH @Kootenay Hunter and to our merry little band from BC. Did you hunt while you were in Africa? Plans to go back?
I'll be hunting in the Kootenays this fall.

Welcome aboard!

Welcome Kootenay Hunter, you'll enjoy it here - and don't worry too much about the "report" above. That must have been an error. You could ask a Moderator like Brickburn to look into it for you.

Here's a photo of Tony receiving that Shaw & Hunter award at the 1970 annual EAPHA Dinner Dance. Tony Dyer, then EAPHA President and Princess (Sunny) von Auersperg presented it. I also attended the event.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

What is the minimum you would take.
