    Yeah it is a really good thing the mine has a future. Otherwise we would be in a world of hurt. The girls volleyball team was tough this year. Our girls beat them this year. My niece lives with us and started for our varsity squad.

    It's nice to have good surgeon close to us. My son and wife had their knees operated on in Laramie by aukerman and he did a great job. He's the university's sports surgeon.

    Actually I didn't put the idea in his idea as much as that's great idea. I was leaning more at Alaska again lol. I've sent him the link to this site and set him to doing his homework told him to give me 10 different options. Definitely think a package is my best bang for the buck. One of the things I'm struggling with is that he's not a big hunter like his sister or me. He goes but it's not his first choice of things to do and isn't passionate about it. That being said, I'm thinking he'll get to hunt one or two animals and I'll get to hunt more/bigger animals lol. I haven't decided on a budget yet, truth being is we are a oilfield service company family and the last 2.5 years have been brutal for us and we are just now starting to see some life again so I don't know what my budget is going to be. It'll have to be low to start with I reckon and hopefully be able to upgrade when the time gets closer.

    Some outfitters offer a package that can be split between two hunters. That might be something for you to look into.

    Lots of AH bowhunters book with Limcroma Safaris. IMHO they cater to bowhunters more than most. Check "em" out. Just do a search on Limcroma Safaris and you'll have enough reading for several days.

    The pros are you are bowhunting
    The con is you are not rifle hunting

    A lot of outfitters offer both and do so quite well
    The choice is yours and you could do a bit of both

    Regards

    @Shootist43 , Thank you for the kind reference. We appreciate that! We are able to facilitate our bow hunters so well because we are all avid bow hunters ourselves...

    @wysongdog ,

    The short answer to your inquiry is that there are no cons to bow hunting Africa, unless having too much fun is a con? Actually, Africa is a bow hunter's paradise! There is no other hunting destination where you will have more opportunity at more different species with a bow than Africa. Traveling with your bows to Africa is easy. There are no special restrictions or permits required for bringing your bows into RSA. You would simply pick them up in the oversize baggage area in the rear of the standard baggage carousel area upon your arrival.

    We can also easily accommodate a combination of rifle and bow hunting if you prefer. Many of our safari guests do this, and we can even provide you with a "tack driver" loaner rifle so you don't have to worry about traveling with your guns. Please feel free to PM anytime. I would be happy to address all of your inquiries and concerns.

    Thanks for everyone’s help. I guess one thing I need to clarify on my bowhunting question. As I am from the West bowhunting elk deer and black bear. I have never hunted out of a blind. All of my bowhunting has always been spot and stalk. How is most bowhunting done in Africa? One of my concerns is sitting in a blind how much will I miss seeing if I was out and about hunting.
