Hello All,

My name's Oz and I'm new to the forum today. Currently living in London, although I was based in Angola between 2009 and 2014, and am heading back there this June. My main reason for joining the forum is to get some specific firearms information relating to our upcoming Guiness World Record attempt, to navigate the Kwanza River from source to mouth: www.kayakthekwanza.com

Cheers and look forward to hearing from you all!

Oz

Welcome.

thankfully you are staying within one country. Otherwise I could imagine some significant issues.
What are you needing/using the firearms for?

Welcome! That sounds like one hell of an adventure to say the least.
Good luck with your 1100km attempt, I look forward to the pix and stories.
HALO sounds like a noble cause to support with your efforts.

We made it! 32 days and 1,100km later, we finally arrived at the mouth of Angola's Kwanza River yesterday. After a month of hard work, we have now kayaked every navigable kilometre of the Kwanza River, setting a new Guinness World Record that should be pretty hard to beat! We have also raised over GBP18,000 for The HALO Trust.

Thanks to everyone who donated, and if you're still keen to help, please click here: https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/kayakthekwanza. Stay tuned for the documentary film I am editing together! In the mean time, more information can be found here: https://www.facebook.com/kayakthekwanza/ (including details of us getting arrested and detained by Angolan security forces!)

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.
