Long time lurker that has finally got round to registering.

Got the Africa buy a few years ago and have made 5 trips out there hunting so far.
With a child on the way it could be a while until i get the chance to go again

Your avatar Steinbok might be the longest horned specimen I have seen so far.
Since I'm not keen on tape measure style hunting, it must be an exceptional ram when I notice the horns are quite long.

Thanks for the welcome folks - I filled in my profile pretty extensively but it is possibly blocked by privacy settings - can anyone advise?

I have hunted Africa 4 times properly - all in RSA. I worked for a few months in the late 90's in a country that famously banned hunting in the late 70's and did manage to do some meat hunting there also.

I am not a person motivated by the tape measure and record books but do like to hunt hard for mature animal that are as good as he area holds. I have started on a quest to get the 'Tiny Ten' and have managed five so far (Cape Grysbok, Steenbok, Common Duiker, Klipspringer and Oribi).

I have fallen in love with Bushbuck hunting and taken two so far and that is something i would like to do again.

I will try and upload some pictures when I have the chance.

Welcome to Africa Hunting Guy. It is about time that you join up, after so many hunts in Africa you may be regarded as a pro! I am totally agreeing when it comes to Bushbuck hunting. That is by far the best animal to hunt.

Enjoy the site, and the camaraderie.

PS: It would be great to hear one or two of your Bushbuck hunting stories.
