Good Gun Deals This Week

After taking to him. As many here already know His African package is a bargain.

With your donated rifle Winchester or Mauser and $3k you get a nice oil finished stock and a sleek English style rifle that cycles and shoots well.

I had a nice chat with Mr Renner and bought the rifle. He built this for a clients elk rifle. And is now making him a new one.
Hell, I saw that and didn't realize he was selling a rifle there. I thought he was just advertising his work. Nice snag!

I was in the same boat! Ya $1400 was a steal

Fellow Rifle Grumps,

RJ Renner indeed tweaks “average” rifles into something Special … indeed and indeed.
Old Velo Dog dreams of a Ruger No.1, given the Renner Treatment, + re-fit with 26” barrel in .303 British.
But, for crying out loud, leave the dang Alexander Henry forend be.
Bill Ruger totally knew what he was doing when he incorporated that profile into his incredibly UNDER PRICED model #1 rifle.

Cheers,
Velo Dog.

These photos are of the aforementioned Alexander Henry style of forend.

Years ago he built me a 12 bore underhammer muzzle loader. It is an extremely well made and shoots a 12 bore round ball, it is my elk muzzle loader.

He does very good and fairly priced work.

What more do you expect for $900 ?

Already sold, not surprised, someone got an excellent deal, hopefully an AH member. Recently purchased a rifle from Southern California Gun or SoCAL GUN based out of San Diego. They seem to have great prices on used African big bore rifles. They are quick to ship (rifle came in hard case) and excellent communication via email by Greg Kerrebrock….stand up guy.

My experience with Greg was the same. Good deals are still out there.

Seems pricy to me. I’m not a Husqvarna expert by any means, but we have a store here in Canada that has hundreds of them. Unless I’m missing something I’d say about half that price seemed about right.

Canadian Husqvarna prices are much cheaper than the US. At least for CLEAN unmessed with ones. Many have had stocks whacked, cracks, poorly tapped receivers, etc.

Is there a reason for this?
