I have pulled the throttle on both steam and kerosene Rumelys. I have never owned steam.

To further de-rail the thread, one of my grandpas was a migrant worker with an advance-Rumely. He was part of a group of few guys that worked the crops from Kansas to Saskatchewan during the 1920s. One of the things that I inherited from him was his A-R watch fob.

Young mister Smith I have done my fair share of driving around in ever diminishing circles at night digging dirt with noisy machinery. Nowdays you can keep it as well as the pre 64 Winchester. The new ones are far superior.

You can pretend all you like young mister Smith but an original 1949 Winchester in 270 fitted me like a shoe that was 2 sizes to small and I couldn't even operate the bolt properly from my shoulder due to the crappy stock design.
