Done a bit of lurking and finally joined up. Never been to Africa but would love to one day for a big old dagga boy and give the 416 remmy a go. Don't do as much hunting as I should but that's my fault as there is some good stuff around.

Welcome to AH! What have you hunted so far?

@VertigoBE red deer and the odd fallow. feral goats too at times if that counts. Paradise ducks, mallards, grey ducks and Canada geese for the game birds.
I will say though I have had some long dry patchs (like 10 years in aussie where I didn't even have a firearms license and only did the odd bit of shooting on the trips home) and more recently where I have just been really slack for the last 5 years since moving back.
A couple of cranky cattle beasts and a stag have tasted the 416s wrath at least.
Seem to spend more time mucking around and taking way too long on various firearm projects.
