This rifle has about 50-60 rounds through it. I shot a couple deer with it from a box blind...they taste better when killed with a vintage cartridge like the Krag. Something about dying with dignity.

Excellent condition - also have dies and new Hornady brass I can sell cheap to the buyer.

You won't find a more handy, friendly carrying rifle. Short OAL, light, jumps to your shoulder.

The Krag in this rifle can be loaded to essentially 308 ballistics. Handles cast better, with that long neck keeping the grease grooves covered. I really wanted to whack something with a nice old-school 220gr RN with this classic little bugger. Oh well....

$1,250 plus actual shipping/insurance cost. Cash, PP, check, chickens....let's deal.

Can do FTF between Houston, TX and Romance, MO.

Nice #1 and the 30/40 would be a nice round in that. Do you have the reloading dies and any brass?

Yes. I have a set of RCBS dies and a Lee Factory Crimp Die.

I have about 180 new Hornady cases and 54 loaded rounds, with three different bullets.

I must have some fired cases somewhere! That is an odd total...

@tarbe, if you don't mind sharing where did you get those neat green boxes you have with bullets in them?

Beautiful rifle!

Congratulations to my neighbor to the north.

Would have loved to purchased this rifle.......

Ok Tim what are saving up for? New rifle or another trip.

I need to drill a well on my place in MO. Not certain what the final bill will be on it...but likely at least $12k. Trying to soften the blow!

I need to know if this is legit. Photo with today's paper would do it.

I just saw Budsgunshop.com has both the guide gun and the African for $1150. FWIW - I bought both and decided to use the Guide gun - I restocked it in a Bell and Carlson stock and I added the Alaska arms floor plate to add a round. I wanted the shorter barrel as I will use a suppressor. I wont go lower than $1100, but I will ship it and no sales tax.

Let me know if you are interested
