For Sale Ruger No. 1 450/400

Sold pending payment.

I replied about reloading components in the message section.

Scammer lurking on the thread. They just emailed me and said I should reach out to the seller through a specific email. Reported it but be on the lookout.

I’ll take it.
Good man!
You won’t regret owning a No.1 in such a classic cartridge.
There are so many loads that one can use in a single shot that won’t go in a double that makes a rifle such as this way more versatile than most realize.

Hello everyone, I'm the seller on this thread. I noted the post number 22 stating a scammer is lurking here. Not sure what to say about that and I'm a little confused if I need to do anything. Can someone help me clarify this? Thanks.

It's a beaut!

For some reason, I like D barrels on a No. 1 .. but that's just me.

Hunter X explained to me what happened here. Just to clarify things, the email/Gmail address that he posted in the scam message. He got, post number 22 in this thread, is not me (the seller). I think that's already clear to most everyone, but I just wanted to state the obvious.

Correct, I will second that. There was an outside scammer that messaged me. He has been banned. Jeff has been great to work with, and I am excited to receive my first Ruger #1. The stock is pretty but it may end up on classifieds in a year or so. I plan on creating a new stock in an English Safari style with highly figured English walnut blank I picked up.

It’s a very wide blank, so I will get all of the wood from that bottom highly figured portion. I can’t wait to get started!

Thanks again Jeff!

My pleasure! I also look forward to seeing the 450/400 with a stock like that!

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
