Collected 14 Mark Enslin originals in the 1980s when I traveled on business and lived in South Africa. They range in framed size from 78 inches wide by 50 inches high on canvas to 14 inches wide by 10 inches high on wood. All originals. All signed and dated. For scale, the top of the fireplace mantle is 76 inches wide. More detailed pics available.

Just for curiosity, what would one or the collection go for?

If any are for sale, I am interested. Should we PM for a price?

He says they are for sale.

PM sent

Wonderful collection, Very interested also.
PM sent also.

whats the secret?if you want to sell,HOW MUCH.

Sorry guys, I'm an early to bed, early to rise guy. lol! Thanks for all your interest. There are no secrets. To answer your questions...

As the preference, to minimize the pain and logistics of selling individually, I would prefer to sell the collection as a whole. For me there's a couple of things to consider, I was offered $20000 for the collection by an art broker, "potentially more" if I gave them to him on consignment. While I took A LOT of grief at home for not taking the offer, I was put off by the idea that the deal was simply to generate $ for the broker and not for the enjoyment of them on display in a home, lodge, hotel etc. I'm not saying that money is not important, but there was that consideration. I have $20,000 invested in them, and have had 30 years of enjoyment - so they owe me nothing. So $20K plus shipping would take the lot.

If I don't sell the whole collection this week for $20K, then I'll be selling individually starting on Tuesday as follows:
Item 1: Buffalo herd on canvas: $5000
Item 2: Zebra on canvas: $3000
Item 3: Lion on canvas: $3000
Item 4: Elephant on canvas: $2000
Item 5: Nyala on canvas: $2000
Item 6: Cheetah on canvas: $3000
Item 7: Buffalo on wood: $2000
Item 8: Four (Lion, Hyhena, Buffalo, Crocodile) on wood: $2000 total
Item 9: Three (African Birds) on wood: $1,500 total

There is already a lineup for Items 1, 2, 5, 8.
If you are interest in any or all please PM me.
Thanks for your interest.

Great art work. Best of luck with the sale.

Shall we assume CAD?

Beautiful work. Good luck selling them.

BTW, that's not a hyena, but a wild dog in the foursome on wood.

An excellent AH member right here! I had a fantastic transaction with Hornedfrogbbq (I was the seller). His communication was first rate, payment was extremely fast, and I would have absolutely no reservations at all dealing with him again. Thank you, F!
Here we are, the last day of the show in Denver, it's been a good show but expecting a quiet day today. I will be back for-sure to do this show next year and maybe also do the one in Sacramento California.

On Monday I will be hitting the road driving from Denver and eventually make it down to Atlanta for the flight home.

its going to be a good year!

Hi Rem280, Saw your post on getting selected for Idaho Elk. Do you have a zone(s) selected? I live in N Idaho, might be able to offer some ideas.

Cheers,

Craig
