In an effort to thin the herd I’ll be listing a few rifles for sale in the coming days. First one up is a .375 H & H Magnum by Clayton Nelson. I'm not the original owner, but based upon the parts, which mostly seem to be from London Guns, I would guess it was built in the 1980’s. It’s a Mauser Model 98 with a drop box magazine, a side-swing safety lever (Don Allen I believe), and aftermarket trigger. The bolt handle has been modified for use with a scope and the knob is checkered. The 24” barrel has a express rear sight in a quarter rib, a barrel band sling swivel, and an barrel band ramp front sight with hood. The quarter rib and front sight ramp are stippled. The walnut stock has an ebony fore end tip, a double shadowline pancake cheekpiece, inletted rear sling swivel on pedestal, a vacant gold oval, checkering in wrap-around point pattern, trap-door steel grip cap, and red recoil pad. I have a set of Len Brownell or Warne scope mounts with 1” rings that came on the rifle which I will include. It weighs 8.25 pounds as-is, about 9.5 scope. I have other photos I can email to anyone interested if you just send me a PM.

Price is $4,250 plus shipping and insurance. Thanks for looking.

Kurt

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
