I won’t be flying any rifles FYI. Any reason to be concerned walking to city lodge? We will be carrying luggage so we will definitely be easy targets as tourist.

British is only 7 hour layover in London which isn’t enough to sleep but long enough to make the trip aweful

Don’t go through London it’s better to just take DL200. Plus they have the new premium economy that will make the long flight a bit better.

City Lodge checks all of the boxes. Easy access, good room, great breakfast. As far as the layover is concerned, check yourself into a lounge. It is well worth the money. Most lounges will have shower facilities which are quite welcome after a long flight. Some have rooms for a lie down. Open bar, have a good spread of meals, wifi, and away from the crowd in the airport.
