First Timer What to Hunt Limpopo

I did my first safari in Limpopo in April, its a great place to get your feet wet so to speak and only having to drive to the outfitter helped with worry about a second flight.

That said, do a buffalo cow. I will do a Kudu on my next safari but the cow is still dangerous game and was actually cheaper.

Appreciate everyone's perspectives and advice. My parents recent went on a non-hunting safari to Kruger region, and definitely planning on a game drive or similar for a first trip as part of the overall experience as that is something my wife is also pretty keen on.

I'll be talking to the outfitter armed with some of the information here, but do plan to try and keep the focus on the species native to the area and seeing how things go from a pricing perspective. From my understanding predominantly is in the more southern to central parts of Limpopo, hence I'll likely be steering away from Gemsbok and similar in favor of targeting those in Namibia at a future date. The bushbuck might be something I focus on another trip, but we'll see what happens. Kudu are one of the species that I'd probably like to take a few different times (e.g. using a bow or in different terrain).

While Cape Buffalo are one of the species that I'd like to target someday, that is not on the cards this trip, and I'm not really interested in taking a cow.

Don’t pass up anything big just because it’s not on your primary list. Be open to opportunities… “Well, Waterbuck was not on my list, so I passed - on a 30 plus inch”. You’ll likely go back to collect trophies you don’t take on the first trip.

Be ready for what the bush gives you is a wise approach.

Totally agree - though I'll draw the line on species that are Limpopo representative. I'm also not all about size. Waterbuck is funnily enough something on the opportunity it presents itself list (as it is endemic), but wasn't something I'd put in my top few. Part of the reasoning behind my question was to build this 'what else should I consider if the opportunity presents' list.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
