Feral hogs have invaded our little burg here on the SW side of Houston.

It appears the HOAs, cities of Sugar Land and Missouri City, and Ft Bend county are uninterested in doing anything about the devaluation of properties valued at 500K and upwards.

I think they mayors and county judges are going to have a real poop storm on their hands if they don't do something. We can't shoot them nor even trap them and fill them with arrows. By ordinance, bows are the same as firearms, which are illegal to discharge in the city limits.

Animal control or state wildlife people can't be utilized?

I feel for you. Those little bastages reproduce like fruit flies, once established you are going to have a tough time getting rid of them.

Seems like the elected officials have their heads up their butts just like the ones up here.

Maybe a covert action with something like a .50 Dragon Claw air rifle and weekly pig roasts?

A bow is awfully quiet

They are indeed. But these neighborhoods are filled with delicate little snowflakes. I think it's ultimately going to take quite a number of them to lose their @$$es in property values before they wake up and smell the coffee.

Jayzus I HATE living in suburbia.

Wow, so the suburban flakes are OK with this? Complete loss of common sense? No knowledge of what pigs are capable of?

They are OK with porky coming in and destroying their property and lowering their property value?

I'm at a loss.....

Ive dealt with this for years and trapping and shooting have minimal results. The other hogs that aren’t caught or shot don’t relate traps and shooting to much danger but chasing the whole herd with dogs is effective. When they are all being chased even if they aren’t caught they relate that area to having predators and more likely to avoid it.

Well, you know, snowflakes gonna snowflake.

I'll post some quotes from our neighborhood social media...gotta get ready to go out and "celebrate" turning 50 today.

Wait until one of them let their AKC registered, regional champion, yorkie-poo out to take a leak one evening this winter and porky snatches it up and decides to have a dog-b-que right there on the front lawn..

Property values wont resonate nearly as loud with snowflakes as the loss of a purse pup...

Not being able to walk around like Paris Hilton with your 32 ounce canine in your handbag.. THAT is what will get them fired up and ready to initiate an aporkalypse... nothing less.... :)

I’m sitting on the front porch of my cabin in the middle of 300 acres of hillbilly heaven Ozark County Missouri.

We have a problem out here, we generally shoot it! :ROFLMAO:

Wednesday night I was lying in bed in suburban Houston listening to sirens and barking dogs.

4 more years and I will be a full time hillbilly, God willing!

Some things just need a powerful amount of killing as has been told to me by some life long friends the the country of Texas.

Sometimes i stay there for a month and if we're not shooting piggies we're shooting yotes or deer , pretty much anything at anytime.

God Bless Texas.

You need to"import" a couple of mountain lions....they think little piggies are a great snack. Of course they will take your dogs too...

Here in good old rural PA there aren't too many problems in the front or back yard that can't be taken care of with a suppressed 22 and some standard velocity ammo.

We have a similar problem with deer on the island (Grosse Ile, MI) where I live. No hunting of any kind allowed. The city hired the former SWAT Commander then later Police Chief who uses a silenced 5.56, the meat goes to feed the hungry.

BTW Belated Happy Birthday.

Oh know your lawn looks bad, they should do something or else the neighborhood lawn will be destroyed.

They haven't quite gotten to my neighborhood yet, but only about a mile or two south of me. I'm trying to help out so they don't get any farther north from the Brazos River than they already are. But...they seem to be coming up from the river via a drainage canal that's only about 100 yards from my house.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
