Hello folks,

Anyone used the Zeiss Conquest V6 1.1-6x24?

Thinking of using it on a 404 Jeffrey.

Best wishes,

Scrummy

Have not used it....but Zeiss is good stuff and a 1.1 - 6 will cover anything you want to do with a 404J.

Sounds like a decent plan to me!

The wife works for an eye doctor. She has always said the made good lenses.

How can you go wrong with that combo? A 404 Jeffery and a low powered variable Zeiss, sounds like a marriage made in heaven.

Yes, I had the opportunity to train at FTW in Texas with them on .375 Ruger bolt guns. Course of fire included
charging buffalo and elephant targets, other moving targets and a "jungle trail" with moving buffalo and elephant targets.

Optical performance was very good. No mechanical issues encountered. On 1x the FOV was large and the reticle illumination bright enough to use in bright daylight. It allowed use with both eyes open for rapid target engagement and follow-up shots. It worked very well on moving targets. Dialed up to 6x it provided precision on distant targets.

I liked it and it performed without issue.

Hope this helps

The only complain I've had with Zeiss scopes is not enough eye relief. Darn near scoped myself more times with Zeiss hardware than any other maker.

If you can manage the eye relief then by all means, go for it. They are plenty clear and sharp for any purpose. Good luck!

I'm unfortunately on a diet. Presently in VA hospital as Agent Orange finally caught up with me. Cancer and I no longer can speak. If all goes well I'll be out of here and back home in Thailand by end of July. Tough road but I'm a tough old guy. I'll make it that hunt.

Nice one there. I guided for mulies and elk for about 10 or so years in northern New Mexico.

Business is the only way to fly. I'm headed to SA August 25. I'm hoping that business isn't an arm and a leg. If you don't mind, what airline and the cost for your trip. Mine will be convoluted. I'll be flying into the states to pick up my 416 Rigby as Thailand doesn't allow firearms (pay no attention to the daily shootings and killings) so I'll have 2 very long trips.
