CONCO ARMS 416 Rigby

Yup. He imported to PA and upgraded/built a lot of Model 70s. The subject rifle looks like a solid build. Good buy. Oh, I think that is about as low as EAW mounts come.
Thanks. I’m not familiar with EAW pivot mounts. Taking the scope on and off, doesn’t seem as “smooth” as I’ve seen on videos, they may need “adjusting” which may or may not be within my abilities.

I too had been looking for info related to Conco Arms, not related to your gun, and found little information. One thing I did find on the web, so it must be true, is this:
“CONCO ARMS
Previous importer of Hambrusch rifles located in Emmaus, PA'.”

If true, it does answer the location question.
Thanks for the information.

I stared at that rifle for a bit and was very curious after the big price drop. Good to hear somebody in the AH family got it. Sometimes when something looks like a good deal it is just that...a nice rifle at a great price. Congrats and anxious to hear both your hunt report and how the new rifle shoots when you get back. Travel safe and have fun.
I definitely liked the look of the rifle minus the muzzle brake but since it was detachable that was an easy fix and perhaps it was worth the original asking price but you’re right, that was a substantial price drop, I was shocked I was the only one bidding on it?

Thanks, I’ll give a report on it after I’m back. I did load 4 416 Rigby rounds into the magazine and they all cycled fine.

The block lettering for caliber looks exactly like my factory CZ 416 Rigby, same font and size. The “Conco Arms” engraving on top though is larger, thicker and in cursive.
So it's a CZ barrel. Good to know. Wonder exactly what he did to build this rifle.

All good news. I'm working on a .416 Taylor project (meaning someone who is actually competent to build a rifle is working on it) otherwise you and I might bith have been bidding on it. .416 Rigby is such a cool round. I'm stoked you removed the brake and glad to hear it feeds and cycles well. Something about the fit and finish on the rifle from the pics made me think it was going to be a good one. Congrats again.

I was really tempted on a beautiful custom 416 Taylor awhile back, great round! Well, I currently have a love affair with my 458 Lott but I’ve always loved the 416’s. Well if it’s any consolation, had you bid on it you would’ve won, I wasn’t gonna bid anymore than the minimum because it wasn’t a rifle I “needed.” Strangely enough I have gotten some killer deals on GB from time to time. Thanks again!

I think you did very well! I thought it would sell at $4500. I have a few of those Zeiss scopes and 1 is on my 505 Gibbs. It has held up well, not much eye relief though. I just mounted it out where at 4.5 power it sacrifices some field of view but doesn't smack me.

Thanks! With that last price reduction I didn’t think it would last. Just what I needed, another large caliber African rifle, you guys at AH have been a bad influence! I believe the eye relief is 3.5 inches and I usually keep scopes on my big bores mounted as far forward as possible. I would prefer more eye relief though but if you’re not getting kissed by your Zeiss when you touch one off with that big 505, you must have the scope mounted forward too!

Ordered a knurled 5/8”x24 U.S. made steel thread protector from Down Range Products, received today, unscewed the threaded muzzle brake, fit perfectly. The Conco Arms 416 Rigby weighs 11 lbs even, I don’t think the recoil will be too much anyways.

Wondering what it weighs without the scope.....11lbs is over my weight threshold... :D

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
