My oldest boy wants to hunt a buffalo with me. To get to that point he must become thoroughly family with my 375 H&H. Today was the intro. He grew up watching me shoot it and he had a bit of apprehension with the bigger cartridge. He is otherwise a great shot with everything up to 30-06. So, we made it fun.

375 vs Coke can at 60 yards.

The destruction is real. He didn't think about the recoil and now feels its not bad at all. I thought it a fun way to introduce the caliber.

One can was recovered. Another left a trail of shrapnel but the main part disappeared into a raspberry patch. :D I will find it in the fall. This bit of silliness broke the ice and he can feel confident that he will master this rifle and cartridge.

My internet at my camp is not good enough to post pictures. Sorry to all those who appreciate a trophy pic!

Only problem with cans and plastic bottles is the clean up of the shards of aluminum and plastic

Instant feedback! We trained kids with archery using balloons. They last longer at the range and have more fun.

My main rifle range has clays also. The boys collect clays and set them up at the 100 yard target area all over the place. They would much rather shoot clays than a target.
As I think about it, so would I. I think someone should sell 1”, 2” and 3” clays to put at the range.

There is such a thing as 60mm “mini” clays… not a bad idea!

Get a sack of cheap pressed charcoal(NOT match light!),a can of orange spray paint and set of work gloves,

Instant feedback, small size, cheap, doesn’t attract ants & biodegrade able.

That's how I was taught to shoot and how I taught my son. That was with a 22lr tho. If you want to make it interesting and have the room use up to 10 cans at various distances as well as on the left and right.
Start walking from the furtherest one back to the start. Have some one call what can to shoot. Turn, load and shoot at the can called. It can be close, left, right or further away. The point being the shooter doesn't know what can you are calling. You may take 2 steps as Nd be called to shoot the same can again. Very challenging and rewarding. Instinctive shooting becomes second nature after a while.

Got the wife hunting by hiding balloons in the trees. We walk through the trees and I carry the sticks and play ph. Works great, I have her shooting a 375 for our trip in a couple days. She says she really doesn’t notice the recoil. Worked so well that when she missed I was going to tell her to reload and try again. But didn’t get it out of my mouth and the gun went off again. While I was recovering from the unexpected muzzle blast, she said with a smile I had to hurry it was getting away. Training can be just about as much fun as the hunt.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
