Car ownership experiences

My wife’s grandfathers brother was a Polar Bear in WW1. The army assumed guys from the upper Midwest could take the cold.
Many of the regiment complained that Michigan was no where near as cold as Russian winters.

An interesting little bit of forgotten WW1 and Russian revolution history.

@Tex .416
Read the post on heat in Australia I sent you..
Parts of Australia in summer make the hottest day in Texas look like winter. They would love it to be that cool .
You texicans sure is funny.
Looking forward to catching up with a few of you in October and educate that there's more to the world than Tex-arse. Dang y'all don't even have a real football team y'all are stuck with the Dull-Arse cowboys.
Now if you want a real team just look at the Green Bay Packers. Now that's a football team

I don't recall even being asked if I wanted to join the USMC in 1966.

LMFAO...It was probably because of the multiple Kraola Crayon crayons you used to sign and initial the paperwork with that chose your branch of service.

They gave me a choice between a kindergarten pencil and a Bic black ink pen. I choose the blank ink pen and....Just Like That.....I was Army Airborne Light Infantry.

:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

FYI I reenlisted in the Marines; after 4 days, just prior to my departure to Camp Lejeune, I was suddenly considered over qualified for the Marines.

Ok, maybe my current rank, at the time, for a basic trainee had something to do with it. Yes! I did choose to go through Marine Basic Training, just for sh'ts and giggles, and for Espree De Corps.

Good Afternoon,
How firm are you on your Dakota 416? I am highly interested but looking at a few different guns currently.

Best,
BJ

I have a Chapuis 450-400 double that looks brand new and shoots well, never been hunted from what I can tell. I am willing to part with it as I have a 375 H&H Sodia on it's way from Dorleac & Dorleac. I am looking for $9,250 for it and if you are interested, I am happy to send you some pictures. Regards,
Steve
