Burkina Faso is now at Level 4...

It is more than advisable at the time.

This also applies to many regions of Cameroon.

It's a pity. The areas in East Burkina Faso were very good hunting aeras with a high game population and well managed. I don't know what it looks like now , especially as far as the small elephant population is concerned.

What a shame, I really wanted to go to BF or Benin, i saw a FB post about canceling operations in Benin, but haven't heard it from Christophe.
West Africa is quickly becoming a thing of the past, Cameroon will be next in short order, already pretty dicey I would guess!!

Some friends and colleagues that I worked with in Lagos, Nigeria with hunted in Benin in Jan 2019 with Christophe and really enjoyed it. No issues, except the all day drive from Cotonou on the coast to the hunting area in the northwest part of Benin.

As far as Level 4 warnings, Mexico, Chicago and the New Orleans French Quarter are at or near this level of violence.

And I would also avoid those areas as well:eek:. January is almost a year ago. A lot has happened since then.
I keep seeing things like this. Oh well, my buds were just over there and had a great time, no worries mate!
While Benin is still at level 1 per the whole country, they do give warnings to level 3 in the border regions with BF. No thanks, no reason to look for trouble, it usually finds us without volunteering.:(

Well as some here know myself and a several members have spoken about hunting in Benin for 2021. I personally will make that decision next summer after speaking to my PH about what is happening on the ground. Back up plan for me at that point ( if Marius will have me lol) is booking again with him. Hopefully that area will stabilize soon.

Southern Africa. Probably not the game you seek but much safer. Life is too short to take foolish chances for an animal that can be had when and if things settle down.

Hello! I saw your post from last year about a missing crate from your hunt in Moz. I am curious how that all turned out? We (my fiancé and I) also hunted in Moz in 2024 and the trophies are being shipped with Hunters Services Limitada. We have some concerns on whether we will get the trophies home or not. May I ask who you hunted with?
