Brian Herner, former professional hunter and author, is he still around? Looking for his mail address. However I fear he might have passed away already.

One of my favorite authors. I have quite a few of this books.

I don’t know if he is still alive, if so I believe he is 98 years old so getting up there. You may want to try contacting his publisher, Macmillan, now wholly owned by Holtzbrinck

Been looking for his book white hunters for along time in hardcover. Not as easy in Canada

There is a used copy available on Amazon in the US right now. Listed as very good condition for $35.17

I’m in the middle of White Hunters, I recently bought it from Sporting Classics website.
It’s a pretty good read and only available in paperback as far as I can tell. I would like one in hardback as well.

thanks for your reply bob , is it feasible to build a 444 on a P14/M17 , or is the no4 enfield easier to build? i know where i can buy a lothar walther barrel in 44, 1-38 twist , but i think with a barrel crown of .650" the profile is too light .
