My first centrefire was a Sako Finnbear .270. I've always regretted selling it, and have just bought a 75 Deluxe in the same calibre. I'd like to take it to Africa, but it will be used on UK deer for the time being. It's good to have a .270 again.

I own four .270's. It is a special thing.

I'll be putting a Swarovski Habicht 6x42 on it, and then see what ammunition suits it best.

Glad you bought it! I was eyeing it up but couldn’t bring myself to sell my stainless synthetic. Enjoy and hope it shoots well!

Beautiful rifle... whoever threaded the muzzle needs a good kick with a frozen boot... first thing I would do is cut that off and redo the crown.

Had a SAKO Finnbear .270 with Bavarian stock in the 70´s

Sold it to a good friend and always regretted it.

I'm just waiting now for this to be added to my UK license. I'd like to take it to Africa for plains game, maybe next year.

I realize how hard the bug has bit. I’m on the cusp of safari #2 and I’m looking to plan #3 with my 11 year old a year from now while looking at my work schedule for overtime and computing the math of how many shifts are needed….

I'd like to get some too.

Hallo Marius- do you have possibilities for stags in September during the roar? Where are your hunting areas in Romania?

I'm about ready to pull the trigger on another rifle but would love to see your rifle first, any way you could forward a pic or two?
