I am in the process of obtaining and setting up a 458 lott, brno 602 for a ph friend. I am thinking about attaching one of the holosun, titanium. closed red dot sights. Any advice would be greatly appreciated

I had to get a custom built picatinny rail built to fit the scope base screw holes for my custom built Montana Rifle Company .416 Rigby.

Try; www.optics-trade.eu , followed by BRNO 602 RMR base. Lots of options from permanent to QD. Looks like they will ship to the USA as well.

Some time back @Frederik did an article about a red dot mount which replaced the express rear sight. You might like to add it to your options.

I mounted a Leica red dot via a base made by Wayne at AHR to my CZ 458 Lott, couldn't be more happy, great setup, come's on and off easily

I'll take the Vortex scope cover you have listed in the Pay it Forward thread.
