Any thoughts on what HEYM new rifle is?

Some pics of the hunt and the 89 in Moz have been added to Heym USA facebook page

I always respected the quality but had a lot of disdain for Heyms for their unorthodox building approach: thick wrists, Germanic stock head at action, odd barrel contour, heavy pistol grip, sharp edges, oversized frame for some calibers, odd engraving patterns, etc.

I must say that the 89b is a monumental aesthetic improvement that leaves me deeply impressed. I give them major congratulations for listening to the customer and providing a traditional British dimensioned gun.

Hats off!

Thank you, rookhawk--
Heym USA has diligently pursued this new design.

We hope to honor the classic lines of the fabled British doubles-

While having a modern, affordable alternative to the great British makes.

You really need to handle the 89B to understand that it is much more than just an aesthetic change. I cannot wait for mine in 450 NE to be completed.

Wow that's pretty!

Great looking gun!

Germanic stock head at action

yeah real surprising on a german gun .....also on the few different ones i have handled never thought the frames were over sized, in fact thought some were quite trim for the cal. but then what do i know........:E Head Scratch:

:P Santa: @spike.t you know that you must have one! Listen to the monkey.....he knows you soooo well. In fact, he even knows where you have the hidden cash to pay for this new toy.
Anything I can do to help you with this process let me know....except paying for the rifle!

You can't trust that monkey spike! He knows where the cash is hidden. Keep using the water board or maybe start withholding food but whatever you do......do not be nice to him! Be firm in this. You are the man and you know you want the rifle.

More info from Chris:

"Thanks again to everyone for their patience.

To finalize all of the pricing, we must first engrave one in each available grade of engraving. That is being finished now, and we will have pricing on all grades in the next few weeks (in advance of the shows.)

The target price for the first grade is just under 20K.

The 89 costs a little more than the 88, but it also comes with more standard features than the 88.
> long (extended) trigger guard
> disk set strikers
> new stock and forend by Ralf Martini that are much more British in style."

Sir, I think I have been writing to you about the purchase of the HK 639 rifle under an email "Tt Jake." If this is you, then I am truly interested. I am just trying to verify identify. Tt Jake is asking for a cash transaction. No disrespect intended, Just trying to verify who I am talking to. Thank you. Respectfully. Dan

Hey my friend, I am returning to SA for a Cape Buffalo hunt in June 26. My outfitter has suggested Highveld but I have read some poor reports. Wondering how satisfied you were with your mounts from them? Thanks in advance.
