Select. They go 20X, then more sanding and tightness and labor to Select and more sanding to 100X. It is full beaver at all categories though.

The beaver count only really matters or should be considered on top tier makers. It’s been bastardized so badly over the years by lesser quality brands .

That's why past 20X they do not use a number. Also, I have yet to be disappointed by Rand's. They do charge appropriately for their quality though.

Does Rand have any brick and mortar stores? I live in Maryland. I know I can order one online but I would like to try on different styles to see what looks good.

Billings, MT and you can also catch them at SCI and DSC shows. I had them take my measurements at the SCI show some years ago, so now I just give them my name etc. and hat specifics.

Only brick and mortar I know of is their headquarters store in Billings MT, that is where my wife and I ordered ours after trying several styles. But if you go to SCI or DSC they have a booth there where you can try them and get fitted to place an order
