In 2016, I took a "once in a lifetime" trip to South Africa for buffalo cow and plains game. That one-time trip turned into repeat trips in 2017 and 2018. Since then, career changes, and a move from Illinois to Tennessee put things on hold for a bit. I now have trip four planned. Dates are decided, plane tickets are booked and I am working through the deposit process now. I'll be hunting buffalo with @Tally-Ho HUNTING SAFARIS in April, 2027. It's much earlier than originally planned, and we may be battling a little more brush and vegetation than is ideal, but it should be a great hunt!
I've got to give a shout out to my wife who is beyond supportive of my hunting adventures to the point of being an enabler! When I throw out things like, "hey, I'm considering a bear hunt in Alberta" or "You know, I still don't have a nice buffalo bull on the wall", her immediate response is usually, "just book it." She is the best!
