A pair of custom Mannlichers for Africa

OMG you just made me drool all over my phone. I know what I will ask Santa for Christmas now. The absolutely perfect safari pairing that could be imagined. I am so jealous I may have to go to confession over these.

Perhaps this is too American a saying but "your killing me Smalls". Google the movie The Sandlot watch it and you will know what I mean. Those rifles will never be whole until they have been to Africa on Safari. "Simply marvelous darling".

Tasteful selection, excellent execution, perfectly balanced choice of calibers, all the boxes checked, even down to alpha glass...and in no way to disparage, but mannlicher STOCKED, not Mannlicher-as in-Schoenauer...

I should note the reason for using Talley CZ rings they are wide to fit the CZ bridges and this allows the GMA bridges to be machined wide vs regular Talley rings are narrow to fit their scope bases, as seen on this machined square bridge. Better aesthetics.

Talley Regular, about 0.2 to 0.3 narrower

Wow. Those are not only superb rifles, they are masterpiece art works. May I ask who your gunsmith is that made these masterpieces??

Gotta love the case colors!

True gun porn!

Just saw this. Thanks for resurrecting this thread. Those rifles are as close to perfection as I have seen lately!

Agree that this was a good resurrection. Very beautiful rifles. And you should take them to Africa. Perhaps even better - take them on a European hunt. Perfect for deer stalking and driven boar/stag. They have a that continental twist to them, without being overly germanic.

Wow… stunning rifles. I consider myself very lucky when I won a Rock Island auction several years and collected this pair…

Both are Mausers, top one is 8x57, bottom one is 6.5x57. Both shoot well, though I have failed to take any game yet with either.

Lucky me… the auction description failed to mention all the engraving.

Both are classic German works of gunsmithing art.

Jake, Sorry to bug you again. I was wondering if you could share a. couple actual pics of this crossbow with me?

Xpedition Archery USED Scrapeline390X Sniper Gray Crossbow XACW1001 - Light Wear - Needs Bolt/Arrow Guide Spring UA5689

If it is in a decent shape, would you be willing to sell it for $100 shipped? IS it missing the retention spring that goes over the bolt?
Thank you Ferenc

Good morning John, I just read your setup procedure for the northstar duplicator ator. I found it very hand and I did learn some things. I have the same machine and I am having a problem i can not figure out and was hoping you could shed some light on the subject.
