285 grain 9.3 nosler partition recovered from 130(ish) lb wild pig. From my 9.3x57 @2050 fps. Impact was at 10 yards, head on. Over 3' of penetration from skull to be recovered under the hide in a back leg.

I was testing these at lower velocities of the 9.3x57. Front core separated, as expected, with a 74% weight retention. Overall solid performance for an all around bullet.

Penetrated the skull and 3’ after expansion at 2,050fps; looks like textbook performance to me.

I often wonder why people belittle the partition for the head separation, when it’s designed to do that.

Designed for initial shock and expansion followed by good penetration. Exactly what John Nosler was looking for. They are a great game bullet. For really heavy animals I like the Swift A Frame, otherwise the Nosler Partition gets my vote.

Agreed, and the A Frame is just a bonded partition.
