Picked up some 9.3 286 grain softs. Wondering what manufacturer?? The Cannelure is close to the base, never saw this before.

Any ideas?

Hawk Precision with custom cannelure? ................good luck.............FWB

I would have to wonder if they are factory seconds.

Could be, maybe a Monday morning worker did not set up the cannelure roller properly.

Hawk? Maybe. Yea I think they are a non standard. Especially with that large amount of lead exposed. Looks like they will expand a lot.

Came in a unmarked plastic bag.

Could be a death ray bullet for those wild hogs down in the Southeast U.S.

I have had similar bullets from PPU and S&B out of Eastern Europe

An awful lot of exposed lead up top?

Geco, S&B, and Woodleighs all seem to have that extra lead exposed (I'd also say Norma Alaska, but the Alaska doesn't have any cannelure on it).

Echoing Wyatt, maybe factory second Woodleighs? Or maybe Nosler (both have that really 'tight' cannelure, from memory), though I haven't seen one in the flesh to know how much lead they have exposed.

I thought they might have been these

but on reflection ... perhaps not

I just checked my reloading supplies and unfortunately do not have any more, but I am almost dead sure they are the same as some S&B that i used for practice. They came in little plastic bags with white print on. They were very accurate in my old Mauser

The 9.3 mm calibre bullets in your photograph are 1960s era Sellier & Bellot soft nosed 286 grain bullets . They open up extremely fast , and are ideal for hunting Asiatic leopards and Axis deer . They are not the best option for frontal heart shots on Royal Bengal tigers , however .

Thanks guys. I thought they were vintage, a few are tarnished.

Miniature Lion Loads perhaps.

I will reserve them for my pig shooting.

May also be a dandy bullet for stopping intruders at the front gate when things become a bit spicy after the US Inauguration.

Hi - the only (best) method of sending you the .375/06IMP data is with photographing my book notes. My camera died so the only way I can do it is with my phone. To do that, I would need your e-mail address, as this
new Android phone is too complicated to upload to my desk computer, which would be easier and to down-grade, reduce the file sizes.
Best wishes
Daryl

Hey Steve, This is Steve Washington we met at KMG last year. I am interested in your Winchester. Would love to speak with you about it. I work third shift and I cannot take a phone with me to work. Let me know a good time to call during one of your mornings. My phone is [redacted]. Live in Florida so I have to account for the time difference.
Look forward to hearing from you.

Good day, Slider.

Do you by any chance have any 500NE brass left that you are willing to part ways with?

Best regards,
Boela Bekker.
