I hate to sell a gun but I won a Kimber Caprivi in .416 Rem recently and have decided to part with my trusty .416 Ruger. This is the gun I used in the film Trophy to take my elephant and buffalo. It has been accurized by Hill Country Rifles and shoots and feeds very well. The process Hill Country goes through is very thorough and really makes a custom gun out of a stock gun. With the Edwards recoil reducer and the muzzle brake it is a pleasure to shoot.

Edwards Recoil Reducer installed
14" Length of pull
Pachmayr Decelerator recoil pad
muzzle brake, weight, and cap
Alaskan Arms QD 30mm Rings
Custom Made ammo by Safari Arms:
57 rounds 400gr Barnes TSX
37 rounds 400gr Barnes banded solids

Shipped to you (continental US only) $1250
($2500 in value)

Say it isn’t so!

I know, I know but I won a Kimber Caprivi! The gun safes are full, what to do?
Philip

Buy another SAFE man! Never part with the rifle you took your elephant with!

Nice looking gun! Not to be sold, just buy another safe!

That was a respectfully tended suggestion Philip.

I agree. I have no doubt that if you sell this gun you will regret it for many years. Sell the Kimber if you have to sell a gun.

I can’t believe you would part with that rifle as much action as you and it have seen. Good luck on the sale.

You will regret selling a rifle you've made such memories with! Those Kimbers are nice though. My plan of attack as of late is to take out my less expensive guns and hide them in a closet. Just keep the nicer ones in the safe. Or....like Charlie said, buy a new safe! (Coming from a man who's safe runneth over).

Ooh the memories you had with Mr. Ruger. Good luck on the sale. Sounds like a future regret. :)

I have two guns done by Hill Country rifles and can attest to just how well they shoot. Wish I was in the market for your 416 good luck selling.

ARGGHH! I agree. Don't do it! That rifle ought to be draped across the horns of your buffalo, never to be shot again.

Aside that, as of late, Kimber's been getting some bad ink and from what I've read and seen at the range, I wouldn't buy one. YMMV.

Have you shot groups with just the barrel nut on it?

I appreciate all the encouragement but I want someone else to take their first elephant or buffalo with this gun instead of it just collecting dust.
I am joining the R8 Club and have to liquidate a few nice guns.
Regards
Philip

More rifles is why I had to buy a second safe!

Someone is going to get a heck of a gun for a good price, not to mention the all the add-ons!

Sir, I will gladly take that 16 gauge off your hands. I was waiting for your Winchesters but I'm a sucker for a 16 ga.

I bought a great deal of the brass he had for sale, plus I already had many hundred rounds.

How much brass are you looking for?

Hi Green Chile, I just recently bought a 470 NE barrel for my Thompson Center TCR 83-87 single shot. Im just looking for some 470 NE to shoot at the range just to try it out. I dont need anything special but I just wanted to see what you have left. I dont necessarily even need a full box.
Thanks
Bill
