Folks, I thought I had this in the bag till I started loading my 300 gr. A Frames. Been saving them and using Hornandy 270 gr. to get the gun sited etc. Anyway, things have gone for kaw law and these bullets are hard to get here (and expensive). What are your pet loads for 300 gr. and 270 gr. A Frames? Rifle is a CZ550 Safari.

There's already an extensive thread on the forum, just have a squizz. I came across it again a few days ago!

I've looked, and searched, but I did not find a lot specific information that is specific to this bullet. At least nothing that lists powder measurements etc.

Can't help you with the 270's, but IMR4350 and the 300gr version get along quite well in my M70. My load is above max. I recommend you start a bit below maximum and work up till you get the accuracy you need. If you go above max, of course do so slowly and be aware of pressure signs.

Thanks - I'll try it. I was getting great accuracy with Hornandy 270 gr with some old IMR 4064 I had around. Then I picked up some RL15 and whipped up a few loads with the A Frames. Disappointing... but of course I went straight to near max load.

I seat those to the cannelure and crimp there by the way.

Same here only AR2209, same powder I believe. Worked very well in my CZ550 and Rem 700. I was using Woodleigh Soft points, Hydros and some hornady's I had. All shot to same point of impact. Can not vouch for the A Frames doing this as have never used them but I can not see why they would not give good velocity and accuracy. I too, loaded above the book max to get near the book max velocity.

Giver RL 17 a try. Alliant has some great loads for .375 H&H but you have to email them for it. I have been pushing 75 grains behind a 300 grain Woodleigh PP. 2,550 fps. But for the A-Frame, you might want to start low. The thick partition, heavy jacket and bonding process will make the A-Frame harder to push down the barrel, increasing pressure. If you can get some RL 17, I would start at 71 grains and work my way up. I don't remember what Alliant listed as a max charge because I never needed to go to it. I recall it was up over 80 grains though.

Here the results from today. (100yds.) Interesting thing; I've been getting two close shots and then a 'flyer'. I stared to think it may be that my crimping was not up to par, and ran a test. I single loaded the rounds being fired, but kept one the magazine which I measured. After three rounds being fired, the round in the magazine was .050" shorter. With each shot it was pushed further and further into the case. I have to do a better job of crimping.

Just wanted to say thanks for the excellent customer service. Ordered some 9.3x62 brass and the delivery was a little short. An email through your website Contact Us link was replied to the next day with the tracking info for the correction. Good pricing coupled with great customer service will see returning customers every time. Thanks again!
