Need help friends...I cannot find anything telling me the difference in 3 die versus 2 die sets for my new 500 NE. I have looked for online information and videos but can find nothing. the 2 die RCBS set says they are full die size and I have both a Hornady and Redding 3 die sets. Please give me guidance.

Thanks.

2 die should be sufficient for 500 NE. First one is full length resize second one seats and crimps bullet in place all you need foe a NE. Just make sure cases are correct length.

I"m GUESSING that both sets (both 2 die, 3 die sets) have one die for sizing, and one die for seating / crimping bullets

The third die is probably an expander, to expand out / bell the case mouth, which is most useful when using lead (unjacketed) bullets - this eases the bullets transition into the case during seating, preventing the bullet base from getting damaged and/or misaligned

Lee dies will sometimes have a "factory" crimp die as the 3rd.
I have a set of those for 375RCM

My Hornady 3 die set for 500 NE has a sizing die, expander die and seating die.
the seating die does a excellent job on the crimp by the way.

I have no idea the shipping cost from here to Costa Rica. I can do my research on shipping and get back with you later today.

I didn't see your request re: ship co’s. My last shipment was 2023. Quotes from SBS Logistics ($1,198), Badger Cargo ($1,184 - used them) & AHG Trophy Shippers ($1,746). AHG owner's an asshole so wouldn't have used him anyway. Eastern Cape - Houston, TX, so your mileage may vary. NEVER use Karl Human Taxidermy aka Wild Africa Taxidermy on Eastern Cape. Trophies arrived shattered with no padding/packing material.
