2 months from today we will be landing at camp for our first safari. The trip has been on the books for 18 months but is getting real now and the excitement is building. Still lots of things to get done…. I appreciate all the help and info from people on this site. Myself and 3 buddies will be hunting 16 days in Moyowosi and Lake Natron areas of Tanzania. Hopefully will have a good report to share before too long!

Sounds like an awesome safari! Good luck. Can’t wait to hear how it went.

I remember my first safari. When I had airplane tickets in the pocket, I refused to think about it. I simply would not be able to sleep, thinking of the first safari.

Good luck, looking fwd to your report!

I’m 25 days out. It’s intense

Enjoy your trip, looking forward to your trip report.

I’ll be heading over in August 24th. This will be my 5th safari since 2009 and I’m just as excited for this one as any of the others. Got a couple of new rifles I am taking for the first time and that has added quite a bit to the excitement for me on this trip. Getting these rifles sighted in and practicing with them has been quite an enjoyable part of the preparation this time. Enjoy the anticipation of an upcoming safari as it will pass all too fast and you’ll have to start planning the next one.

You have the wrong person. I have no idea what you are talking about..

I have been using a "Personal Property" rider on my State Farm homeowner's policy to cover guns when I travel with them.
I have several firearms, but only one is worth over $20K (A Heym double rifle).
Very interested.
Would firearms be covered for damage, as well as, complete loss?
I'll can let the State Farm rider cover my watches...
