Diy European style warthog tusk ideas?

I think tusks would look nice arched outward, one on each of a set of walnut bookends. I have tusks coming from August's warthog. Sounds like a plan! Thanks for thinking of that. I owe you a beer. Okay, make it Coors Light.

Why did you post this brother :ROFLMAO: Now I'll have to have at least two of these..

Yeah, I know. I am buying these for my gams trophies.

Place is awesome. But spendy! The only other guy that has carved boards of this quality is in SuidTyrol, and shipping from Italy is like throwing money in the trash can and setting it on fire.

Can't trust those bastards.

This is probably a McKenzie plaque. Fake pressed wood of course, but it's not bad. I took a picture, printed it in B&W, then scorched the edges before adding it to the plaque. Trying to get that vintage look

well done. the wood "center piece " is a nice touch.what materials did you use?
I'm assuming you are referring to the base of the tasks? Any putty (epoxy) that you can set in a wood screw and paint once harden will do.
For wood use a light or no grain and stain it to your desired colour.
Here's another angle.

now that is a great look. well done. Also consider distance from viewer. If more than 5 feet the subtle difference between solid hardwood and the multiple more economical alternatives disappear.

what metal was used ? It has a great hand worked look. Old school like it was done at a workshop on a farm in the Free State.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
Gents, if you book and pay your deposit before the end of this year , you can have the bigger cull package for the 2026 price! https://www.africahunting.com/threa...griffiths-safaris-starting-at-us-2-560.96285/
