Reasons for sale here: https://www.africahunting.com/threads/solar-tax-credit.107377/

I purchased this fine rifle just under a year ago.

A few weeks after the purchase I suffered a major heart attack (widow-maker was 100% blocked), so other than mounting a 1.5-5 Leupold and getting it on paper, this rifle has been in the safe.

I believe I was able to purchase at a very fair price for this outstanding example and am willing to sell at the price I paid, $17k. Wife said don't sell at a loss, so I am sticking to that advice! The dollar has weakened since then, so you are actually getting a discount!

You will note the serial number is from the 80s (on the Authentication Certificate and engraved and inlaid on the trigger guard and the forward scope ring), but the Certificate from Max Quigly indicates a completion date of 1993. The rifle was commissioned in the 80s and assigned the serial number, then the build was suspended/cancelled and subsequently resurrected in 1993.

PM and I can get you my mobile if you want to discuss.

I prefer FTF. If I have to ship, willing to split costs.

Edit: I should have mentioned - yes, that is an H&H scope mount. On and off quickly and a very expensive option!

Make it a short cry, then make a plan.

Trying to take my own advice!! :ROFLMAO:

Now I have gone from trying to figure out this damn work thing to planning the nose epic armored car heist in Montana history (I don’t believe there has ever been a armored car heist in Montana, so the bar is pretty low for it to be epic!) what a fine rifle Tim!

Good luck with the recovery, too bad you have to sell such a beauty.

Beautiful rifle, and great caliber!
Wishing you a speedy recovery,

Love this rifle so, so very much and almost bought it from Paul, and then when I finally decided I was foolish to pass and reached out, he had just sold it to you. Wish I could help take it off your hands, but presently, I have an abundance of bolt guns I already need to thin out, and looking like I will have to help my mother with assisted living in the immediate future. Until I get that sorted, I have to try and withstand the temptation.

If this is still for sale when I get back from Zim end of October, I may be forced to reevaluate.

Gents, most Rigby and vintage bolt fanatics on this forum have dreamed and drooled over a number of posts by Paul Bryon. The man doesn't buy anything but fine, quality, and great condition guns. This one is a more recent vintage, but holds to that same pattern of fine quality and damn gorgeous in its execution.

Best of luck with the sale...and truly wish this ad found me at a different time. Hope your recovery gos swimmingly and you are back out flinging lead sooner than expected.

Cheers,
Will

wishing you the best in your recovery. that is an exquisite piece.

I appreciate all the well wishes.

I have been trained over the years to hold onto possessions with a loose grip. Sometimes we have to make some less than savory decisions!

Seriously nice Rigby in a great caliber... interesting choice of scopes for a rifle capable of longer shots.

I think forum prohibits making reference or giving personal references to PH/Outfitters that don't advertise on this forum.

But you can call me. I would be happy to discuss Cape Buffalo .
