Here’s to all the wives

Now that’s funny!!! I buy guilt expensive purses versus jewelry (same expensive principle)
When I was in Africa last month I bought my wife five purses. Just kept finding different ones I knew she would love at each place I went. She loved every one of them. Well worth it for letting me go buffalo hunting.

She went with me on one trip and she had a great time. I didn't hunt too much on that trip. We spent several days in Cape Town and several days in Kruger. One of her favorite vacations.

She is in Ireland now with her sister. That's one of her bucket list trips that she wanted to take with her sister. Her maiden name is McIver so she's always loved her Irish roots. She took my credit card with her so keep me in your prayers.

Maybe you should have put a spend limit on the card. But being a McIver she would just use the Swiss army knife and duct tape and fixit.
I could never understand the thing womenfolk have with shoes and handbags. You can only wear one pair at a time and carry one handbag.

Dang us menfolk just need one wallet usually empty because of wife and kids. A pair of hunting boots ( can be used for work and going to dinner as well) and a pair of flip flops and were set.
The joy of being male life and fashion are simple.

I’m screwed on this one. My wife loves to hunt as much, or more than I do! She’s up for a crocodile next year and is already planning the various items she wants to have made out of the hide.

This is on top of her Eland mount towering over anything I’ve put on the wall up to this point.

I wouldn’t trade it for anything in the world!

BUT us menfolk “need” multiple guns of various calibers for different applications.
Of course the collection would be anchored by a 35 Whelan!

I feel like I'm the most blessed man alive.

Mrs. Safari Dave, doesn't really care to hunt, but she certainly doesn't oppose it.

She was a high school biology teacher for 30 years.

On my last DG safari to Mozambique, she accomplished me almost all of the of the time. Taking pictures, wrighting in a journals, etc.

She just doesn't care in the least, to to be the the "trigger puller."

Dang, I love her!

34 years and counting...

My wife would never hunt anything, so I don't have to worry about that. She doesn't care if I hunt, but elephant and giraffe are off limits. Those are her two favorite animals. I'm starting to make a little progress with her on the conservation side of elephant hunting. Not there yet but getting closer. Buffalo is all I really want at this point and she thinks they're ugly so I'm good to go there.

@Hunt anything
Guns AIN'T shoes or handbag.
Guns are actually useful and help us keep our sanity when womenfolk goes a spendin on frivolous things instead of the important things in life.
Like ammo, hunts and more guns.
Womenfolk sure is a strange breed of cattle but we love them all the same

My wife is the same on cats, zebra and giraffe, she hunts with me and takes great pride in finding the right animal to shoot. I like it when she tags along, if she sees something she likes she will “recommend” I shoot it.

I was surprised a few years ago when I was going on a buffalo hunt that she asked if I would shoot a zebra. She said she liked how a zebra rug looks and she wanted one. I told her I take orders and showed her a list of available animals. That was the only request so far.

Yea we are blessed men. Mine goes with me. She has only taken a free range Axis in S Tex but we are getting a 280 I have restocked for her and she is "willing" to take some plains game species "only if you let me practice until I'm confident w a gun that fits me". Ok then!!! In July at Coutada 10 I had taken my Leopard on day 5 of a 14 day hunt and was essentially finished with my list by day 13. She surprised me with a 40th anniversary Sable. I was going to take a Buffalo or Sable but not both but she had some funny money stashed and it resulted in a fine last day Sable. 40 yrs as I said, she's a keeper!!!!

Yes, we are very blessed men.

My wife loves taxidermy and wants me to get cats and dangerous game. Nothing is off limits but she doesn’t like hyaenas. The only way she will allow a hyaena in the house is laying dead below my lion so that is in process at the taxidermist! She enjoys hunting in Colorado. She has been to Africa several times but just wants to sometimes go along but doesn’t want to hunt there. She even fly camped with me in the Niassa Reserve. She has taken deer, elk, mountain goat and coyotes and is trying to draw for moose and bighorn sheep.

Do you mind me asking what auction you are referencing? I'm not in the market for any of those rifles...just curious.

Good morning from Montana.

I'm looking at a post from 2018 where you were looking for a lefty Winchester in .375 H&H Magnum. I'm selling mine. My email is [redacted] in the event that you're still searching for a unicorn.

Best,

Kelly Palmer
