I dunno guys. I have this recurring vision of @Big_Easy sitting in a swank restaurant; one that has a good following of locals wearing sneakers with no socks. He is laughing as he regales his friends with stories of getting on this hunting website - a real nest of right-wing gun nuts- and how he winds them up and throws facts like stink grandes in a NRA convention.

Continue at your pleasure.

He made my 'blocked' list a long time ago, current population 3. :p

I envision a man bun, skinny jeans, Starbucks drink'n pumpkin spice latte with sprinkles.
The ultimate liberal gladiator.

I would rather see the two forum trolls go visit the M.I.L.F strongholds on Mindanao Island.
Problem solved.

This is what Marawi looked like after eradication of relatively few of them in 2017… very similar to Gaza.

Sincere question… why not just commit suicide on her own? Seems a waste of her money and time to sue the government if all she wants is to check out..

Because it’s illegal

………

Yep. Sorta. Anyone aiding or abetting suicide is subject to criminal prosecution

But seriously, I don’t understand it. My cynical belief is that it is a lot cheaper to kill someone than provide them with the support a death with dignity requires. Also, medicine is really great at keeping people alive, even when they shouldn’t be. I suppose the line between withdrawing the technology of medicine to allow someone to die, and actively facilitating death, becomes quite thin.

Sort of makes you wonder if she really wants to check out or just wants the name recognition the court case will bring.

Interesting Scotty...but...not very helpful. Perhaps even misleading.

The vast majority of the increase in home prices (relatively speaking) has come from the increase in the cost of the land, not the building on it.

No wait...now you will suggest that land is different now!

And you'd be right. Despite the fact that land now makes up a much larger portion of the cost, you are now getting less land.

By any measure it is more expensive for a young person to buy a home in the United States, than it has been historically. Even J.D. Vance that noted leftie has been talking about it. Perhaps you send him an e-mail telling him to shut up because "houses are different" now.

It's okay to be a out-of-touch person who really doesn't give a rat's ass about the portions of your population who are finding the going hard and wax eloquent in a spell binding way about the good old days and "kids these days" but that pretty much just makes one irrelevant and not particularly useful anymore.
The question is why are they finding the going hard? My kids made good choices and doing great. Colorado and NY aren’t exactly the cheapest places to live.

Africahunting.com is meant to be a premier forum devoted to big game hunting, particularly African hunting, and the equipment relevant to hunting. It is a place to share hunting information and reports.

The Politics thread is just an add on to allow hunters to vent relevant issues. However, over 4000 pages, it has morphed into something far less desirable. It is a source of trolling, baiting and creating general angst and conflict. A quick look at some of the worst perpetrators shows that they rarely post, if ever, in anything but Politics thread. They are basically trolls. One in particular now has several hundred posts, none of which are hunting related, less than a handful were trying to sell gear, and all the rest are political baiting.

I know I'm not an IT expert, but it strikes me that it would be a simple algorithm to ensure that no-one could post in the Politics thread unless they already had a minimum number of hunting posts, and that their politics posts could not be more than a designated percentage of their total hunting posts. What say you @AfricaHunting.com ?

I agree with most of what you wrote, but I disagree on this point.

My "Ignore List" contains 20 profiles, all were added due to bad behavior in the "politics thread". 10 of those 20 have more than 5000 posts, only 1 of them have less than 1000 posts.

In the hunting related threads, I see a fair number of "Your are ignoring content by this member" when posts by the ignored profiles are quoted by others. If I tepidly press "Show ignored content", then two times out of three, I count myself lucky that I ignored that particular profile.

Used in this way, the politics thread combined with the ignore list, serve a useful purpose.

I am genuinely happy that your kids are doing well. The question is, what, if anything, should the government be doing to make sure that as many kids as possible are also doing well?

I have some bad news for you. People who do a certain % of hunting posts are just as capable of trolling and posting things someone is not going to like as people who don't.

I don't feel the need to use names but a couple spring to mind.

Of course at over 4000 pages means it has morphed into something popular.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
Thank you,
Bob
