What big gun do you shoot the most just for fun?

Magnum Twelve A5 Browning

The one that kicks me the worst is my 358 Norma on a pre 64 winchester. Must be the stock configuration because it hurts more than larger caliber rifles.

Running Hornady 350FP's at 2,060fps for elk this fall, from my '86/71 Pedersoli. Its fun to shoot.

My Lott fits me well and has the right stock shape and weight that recoil is perfectly manageable. It whacks an AR500 1/2 man plate with authority.

Then I got the .505 Gibbs… it knocks the same target over backwards

My friends think I’m nuts…I think it’s fun.

Nice post, but every time I see that burl redwood table I want to come mug you for it! If you ever want to sell it....

My "big bore" would be fishing bait for your rifles...it's a 375 H&H. Big for me is overweight bullets, lol.

I cannot say I shoot it for the fun
I shoot it to keep in shape, and keep myself used for the gun.
To be ready for any next African trip,
Nevertheless, fun it is.

my rifle is ZKK 602 in 375 H&H, vintage 1985

The .470 NE.

I've learned how shoot it, most of my friends don't have any idea.

They all leave the range calling me Bwana Dave!

(Just kidding, but they don't know how to "roll with the punch.")

It really depends on what you consider to be a big gun, my rolling block as a 45/100 with 92gns of the holy black is fun, my 404J with 400gn pills at 23-2400 fps is enjoyable, 560 gn pills at 2200 fps from the 458 wind bag gets your attention, though the 350gn hollow points are….shall we say…spectacular on small critters . The 12g with magnum solids could be a big gun as well, although I don’t think it is really the best thing for culling roo's and foxes, but it does work :A Whistle:
Gumpy

Of my battery, I find my 425WR to be pleasant to shoot. I don’t know that I’d call it plinking per se but she’ll ring the tar out of a steel plate at 100m.The bigger calibers are “fun” but my shoulder pays the price afterwards.

My Lott based on a Model 70. It fits me well and pleasant for me to shoot.

Much more pleasant then my 300 Win Mag.

Since my video didn't attach I'll do a screenshot of it.View attachment 786860
I shoot my Encore often and don’t want to shoot anything much bigger than the 9.3x74R out of it. Your’s must be brutal! My Ruger #1 in the Lott gives me a headache after about six to eight rounds.

My New England Firearms 10 gauge Turkey Gun. My Dad and Uncle have them but for some reason I think theirs might be H&R’s but I can’t remember. But I spent my childhood getting pushed around by one every spring and I just had to have my own when I was a teenager. Every time I pull the hammer back I remember asking my dad if it was going to kick hard the first time he set me on a log and went to go behind me to call in a long beard. He told me “I wasn’t going to feel a thing when the turkey came in” I don’t know if I felt the recoil, but me and the Turkey were both laying on our backs after that gun went off. :ROFLMAO:

That would kick with a huge push too.
I once fired my 10bore AYA Matador at crossing ducks, immediately after my bro fired his top 12 gauge bl. at them. When I fired, I almost drove the canoe's gunnel under the water. He dropped his O/U into the bottom and grabbed both gunnels. Then he made me promise to NEVER do that again.
54gr. AL8 and 2 ounces of #2 Blymeister had shot. Kicked pretty good for a shotgun!
Can't imagine shooting that light single shot.

A 600NE - a 900 grain pill chronographed at 2000 fps . I weigh 280 pounds and it still rocks me . Just far too much of a good thing . I tried to load a video without success - but here is a picture of it . The 26 inch barrel is massive .

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!
