Not an expert on these but seems like a decent deal

In case anyone missed this deal from Africa Hunting sponsor @EuroOptic , the $1,400 Leupold 1-6x illuminated Patrol riflescopes are still available for $800.

Okay folks, these do not have the optical clarity of a Schmidt & Bender or Swarovski 1-8x, but the Leupold doesn't cost $3,000! Even the new tougher than woodpecker lips Nightforce NX6 discounted price starts at $1,350.

For many applications, this $800 Leupold meets the required level of brightness, clarity, and ruggedness.

FYI, with illuminated center dot, I much perfer a 1x scope for brightness and clarity over any of my Trijicon or Aimpoint reflex sights. That stated, on a double rifle, I'll stick with a much smaller reflex sight. If only they could make a super-compact 1-4x scope...

PS, When shopping EuroOptic, please use the link below. That way your purchases will be credited to our man with the plan, Jake! I have no financial interest in this nor does Jake give me any larger discount than he will give you. Jake has however given some badgering flatlander piece of sht employee an attitude adjustment. Long story but because instead of clicking on the link below, I Googled these guys and a human leach wanted to argue with me, a customer... Way to go Jake!

Lol
Thanks for the kind words buddy!
GPO Spectra 1-6x24i G4i
These GPO's are definitely worth a look as well, little less expensive than the leupold - punches right up there with Ziess and Schmdit Bender in glass quality

@EuroOptic

Have you had good luck with the GPO line? I was always leery of them as their scopes were near identical in look to Vector optics. I guess it boils down to QC

The 375 Winchester "Big Bore" is a straight walled caliber invented in the late 1970s. Its basically two 357 magnums stacked together. It never really caught on, largely because post-64 winchester lever guns didn't catch on too well either. They don't sell for much money.

Since then, the Linebaugh, the JDJ, 444 Marlin, and the Turnbull calibers have come to the lever gone world and pack more punch.

I do, I own several - the 1.5-9x33 being my favorite.
Glass is very bright, FOV is great, and the illumination is extremely bright and clean.
I have a 16" 308 tikka with an over the barrel suppressor that I use almost everyday around the farm, I am not kind to the rifle.. the optic has preformed flawlessly going on 2+ years
I also have the same optic on my TC Encore muzzleloader, which gets drug thru the weeds driving deer and bear all winter... Same verdict, its preformed flawlessly.

That’s a bold statement that a $400 or $700 rifle scope compares to a Schmidt and Bender
I just say what I see ‍♂️ I was hesitant at first as well, I own a lot of Swaro, Leica, and 2 S&B's.. These GPO's are a sleeper.

What kind of glass do they use? Is it Schott Glass?
As far as I know it is not Schott Glass, they don't designate the glass origin other than "Germany"
According to them, all manufacturing takes place in Germany, components are then shipped to PNG, Japan, Taiwan, for assembly - Their higher end offerings are assembled in Germany I believe.

Does this count for this thread? The Half Price Books flagship Dallas store on NW Hwy. has a boatload of Africana books. I have most of them already but bought two today. It sadly almost appears someone died and family dumped them on HPB.

Every time I’m in Texas I check HPB for this. Always miss…

Dave, I could use both of them if still available. I just picked up a new .22 mag and a .22 pump that they would be perfect on.

Dan who is C. W. Richter? He seems to not be a fan of myself!
