I'm thinking about having a pedestal mount done of my 2026 Cape Buffalo. I'm hoping some of the members here could post some pictures of thier mounts so I could get a few ideas about how I want it done. Your help would be greatly appreciated!

Very nice buff! Search posts from Gizmo in this forum. He has posted some badass work on pedestals that look great. One on a shield that was very cool also.
 
Buff are a great candidate for a pedestal mount. A pedestal can range from rustic, through creative, to classic depending upon what you are trying to create in the overall space. For instance, we use a classic look because it fits our old world antiques and the setting we are trying to create. Nothing is wrong.

Mine is like the one @migrabill posted, if I shoot another one to mount I will do the same except an opposite turn and put a full body red or blue duiker on the base.

I love wall pedistal mounts because they don’t stick out in a room but more go along the wall

I am doing a pedestal but having the shoulder mount set up to be displayed on the wall or on the pedestal. Pedestal to be shared with my Kudu as well. One goes on the wall and the other on the pedestal but can be swapped at will. Won't be finished until this fall.

Hi Dr. Ray, I will be in Cooktown from Oct 16 to Oct 23 fishing Lizard Island Black Marlin Tournament.

I have several "slack" days after fishing before I head for stay in Sydney and Fiji.

Do you have any recommendations for 1 or 2 day hunt near Cooktown?

I've hunted both DG and PG in 4 different countries in Africa.
