New CCH Rigby Highland Stalker

As of late 2024-early 2025, Rigby started offering colour case hardened actions as an upgrade for the Highland Stalker, I ordered this one with CCH action & safety housing as well as upgraded wood.
Mounted a Swarovski z8i 1-8 in 30mm QD Hexalock rings, with the rings and scope it weighs in at 9.2lbs perfect weight for the 9.3x62.

Tomorrow I'll test a few different handloads through it, 232 grain PP Woodleighs, 286 grain Hornady SPRP & 320 grain RNSN Woodleighs. For now I will zero it with the 232 grain Woodleighs for wild boar here in Australia.

Handloads, 232 grain PP Woodleighs, 62 grains of RL15, Lapua brass and CCI large rifle primers. Averaging 2650fps.
 
By golly, she hunts as good as she looks!
 
Beatiful rifle in the absolute best caliber! My favorite bullet for the 9.3 is fhe barnes 250 grain TSX, the combination of velocity and weight is amazing, it dropped a giant Elan in its tracks at 339 yards. The owner of Buffalo Bore who is an avid hunter swears by the round rifle combo, its his favorite for african buffalo, watch his you tube.
 
Second session with the new 9.3, 2 boars out of a big mob late afternoon. Dropped the black and white boar on the spot and then the chaos started with pigs running every where. Shot the black one on the run just before he made it to the sugar cane but the shot was a bit far back, spent the next 30 minutes following the blood trail through the cane, bumping him twice before he finally decided to turn and fight.

Man, you inquire about my Rigby 404, but your rifles are to die for!!! Works of art and you my friend are what we call in the US a "dead gun" meaning whatever you aim at dies!!!
