Kipplauf 7x65R with 28ga second barrel....what would be the ideal barrel length?

Lets say you buy a Krieghoff Hubertus 7x65R(24 inch octagonal) and there is an option to add a 28ga 3 inch barrel, what would you consider the ideal barrel length for the shotgun barrel? Would you go for multi chokes? Bore, 1/4, 1/2, 3/4, full?
 
I would need to hold the shotgun with each of the barrels to feel the weight and how it swings. How it comes up and swings has a lot to do with the barrel weight and what may seem insignificant can in fact make a huge difference.

The Hubertus is made to be a lightweight hunting rifle (or shotgun if you choose). They are made for the field, not the clays range. Typically this means shorter barrels that are easier to carry over long distances. However in recent years I've seen 30" and 32" tubes on the hunting grounds, so take that for what it's worth.

If it were me...I'd want a 26" or 28" barrel with interchangeable chokes if possible. If they had to be fixed, 3/4 or FULL...but leaning toward 3/4.

In a 28ga, 1/2 choke, no longer than a 28" barrel.
Just my opinion, I could be wrong. Get what feels the best to you, the shooter!

30” ideally with choke tubes, but if it has to fixed choke then no tighter than modified….Im assuming that’s the same as half bore?

24 is enough. Considering that most often single projectiles are fired from that barrel, that length is perfectly fine. I think 20ga would be a much better choice. Such a rifle with a low-magnification optical sight or a fast dot is excellent for driving wild boar hunts or for hunting in overgrown areas.
Changeable chokes are not necessary in my opinion, because I assume that the rifle will be used to hunt large than small animals. A fixed 1/2 choke would be my choice. We all know that a smaller teardrop collects larger balls better

Only 28ga availible for the Krieghoff Hubertus not 20ga
 
26 inch ...3/4 choke

Gun should come in at 6lbs or just under for a proper 28 bore, 30" should give you that weight in a single shot and give you a good sight plain so its not too whippy. Modified(1/2choke) is perfect for a 28 on birds to 35yds.
