I’m not a fan of Levins ranting and raving. But Newt puts forward some great nuggets and details about our founders.

For instance. The term “Pursuit of Happiness” doesn’t mean running around doing whatever you want. It came from the Scottish enlightenment. In the 18 century Happy or Happiness meant to seek wisdom and knowledge.

Worth a listen to remember how rare of humans the founders were.

King George III. Upon hearing that General Washington intended to surrender his military commission and return to his farm in Mount Vernon rather than seize absolute power, the King reportedly said that if Washington did that, "he will be the greatest man in the world"

Not great. Now it will be days and/or weeks before we know the outcome of some elections.
I really didn't think we would have to wade through stupid again....thought the Supreme Court would give us this one for sure.......75 years old.....guess I'll go throw some rounds down range.....I'll feel better!

Sooo ... only two acts for Trump's "fantastic" Great American State Fair have NOT dropped out. Apparently many who took themselves off the program were never consulted before Trump's gal released their names as being on board. But that doesn't bother him. He thinks it will be a better show if he makes himself the headline act (like that wasn't going to happen anyway?). This from his Truth Social self-pontificating platform:

"I am ordering my Representatives to look at the feasibility of [me] doing an AMERICA IS BACK Rally on Wednesday, Washington, D.C., same time, same location. Only Great Patriots invited," he wrote, calling himself "the "Number One Attraction anywhere in the World". Har, har, har! Yeah, the "Great Patriot" Trump ... who dodged the draft during the Vietnam War. Boy, it pisses me off when that coward wraps himself in the Stars and Stripes.

I guess it would be funny ... if he didn't actually believe the world thinks he's the greatest thing since aspirin. Apparently his recent annual physical at Walter Reed didn't involve a psychiatric component. Or the examining physician came from a different planet!
This is your argument; that Trump is a bombastic Narcissistic? Sure, what else is new? Regardless of his own faults, and regardless of the constant attacks and roadblocks constantly thrown at the Trump administration this administration has been able to make significant progress on many of the issues that has been plaguing our country for so long. Good God, the democrats propped up the Biden Corpse for years and now are slipping into full blown socialism if not communism.

Are you sure this is not AI? I cannot see any black person saying these things. If he is real, have HIM address the UN, lol.
Not AI....check his YouTube videos..he rips the crap out of African attitudes and policies....and he is correct in his ripping apart ....covers a lot of different African countries...policies..attitudes etc

Just out of curiosity what areas have the Trump administration made significant progress in? Here in Europe all one hears about is everything that is held up in court, but I guess that there is a lot that is actually implemented aswell?

Google Trump’s Supreme Court wins

Google Trump’s Supreme Court wins
Thanks, did not thought about that way to get the information :giggle: Apparently a lot more wins then media would seem to indicate when just reading headlines.

A bit weird that Copilot failed to include the tariff ruling, I thought that was a major loss?

Had Copilot make a summary, just wondering how strong the wins really are, I mean, will they be easy to reverse for a future democrat president or will they stay in place?

Copilots summary:

Case / IssueOutcomeImpact Level
Unitary executive removal powerWinStructural, long‑term constitutional shift
Nationwide injunction limitsWinMajor procedural advantage
Emergency‑appeal clusterWinPolicy implementation acceleration
Curriculum opt‑out rulingWinCultural/policy
Texas age‑verification lawWinRegulatory
ACA preventive‑care mandateWinHealthcare policy
FCC rural‑access subsidiesWinRegulatory
Fed governor removal attemptLossLimit on executive reach
Mail‑in ballot extensionLossElectoral procedure
Defamation judgmentLossPersonal legal exposure

Unlike executive orders which can be reversed or changed at the whim of a new administration, SCOTUS rulings are far more permanent. For instance, affirming the president's constitutional authority to exercise independent removal authority of agency heads reverses a court decision that had been in place since 1935.

With respect to others like the Mail-in Ballot date, the court is simply saying this should be accomplished through legislation.

One for the oil guys to check.....does his info sound correct and how long to repair that part of the refinery?

The Russian oil-industry for sure are booming these days! KA-BOOM ,that is.

The next couple of months will be very interesting. The Ukrainians knows what parts of the refinery's to sanction and are obviously able to hit them with precision.
Maybe bunker-Vlad soon will have to call Kazakh Pres. Tokayev with the opening words,,drill-baby-drill;)

It does not seem the Russians take it too seriously though. For those that did`nt know before, the huge storage-tank lid you see blow several hundred feet in the air in the video was hit by Russian air defense. Firing a heat seeking missile over a blazing oil-refinery..to hit a small Ukrainian drone, is just so brilliant.
Those orcs never stop to amaze me.

Interesting new analysis from Foreign Policy as reported by the New York Post which notes the short life expectancy of new Russian soldiers upon arrival at the actual front. From enlistment to arrival at the front is between 10 days to three weeks, illustrating the abysmal level of training this cannon fodder is receiving. Once there, he is dead or severely wounded in less than an hour. Several recent reports, to include from Russian military bloggers, indicate Russian casualty rates are now running 8 to 1. The vast majority of these casualties are from drone strikes (see below), which offer far more accurate casualty assessments than traditional BDA following an artillery strike.

Those losses are now exceeding 30,000 a month with the new added burden of long gas lines and strike drones flying over the Russian capital region.

As noted in the Foreign Policy article, Putin is looking ever more like a drowning man, perhaps encouraging him to attempt something desperate to change the current calculus.

What is amazing is how quickly they ramped up drone production, they manufactured 4 million drones in 2025. They also sped up procurement in that various army units can order them directly via a competitive online market place with various drone vendors.

Come over as a soccer fan and find out for yourself, like all the other new "America lovers". What you hear has to be filtered, else you are just falling for propaganda. I am surprised a post Hitler Europe is not much more sensitive to propaganda, but then it has gotten much more sophisticated this time around.
