MOZAMBIQUE: Mozambique TSALA HUNTING SAFARIS June 2026

That was a great adventure, congrats :D Cheers:

I know how it is when hunting with health issues, but, being there, you just have to keep it up as best as you can !

I see you encountered a couple of Puff Adders, nasty animals.

I picked up a cough on the flight over on June 1st and I am still fighting it!
Yes. I still have and going be long flight back. Lots of people seem to be coughing next to me also. Makes you wonder what’s in air on planes!

Also guys. On a quick note.
After talking with some at Africa Sky and also here in airport on return flight, plus messages from some I met on DL 200 flight over.
Myself plus at least 6 others I have talked to all came down with same respiratory symptoms. Some are back in states already and still fighting it. So yes. You can catch crap on a plane!
RSV? I would get it check out.

Congratulations on another great hunt, Mark!

Well Mark just finished reading the last bits of your report! As others have said and I agree good on you for staying the course.
Hope you get to the doctor to get checked out when you get back. Have a good flight and look forward to the tidbits of your report to follow.

Been traveling and just catching up on the story. Big congratulations to you on a wonderful ele and hippo, glad your main hunting goals were achieved and way to hang in there until the end! Sounds like it would have been a tough hunt on any of us with the respiratory illness, the long tracking and everything else you encountered.

To one of the nicest guys around, Happy belated birthday and hope you get well soon upon getting home. Congratulations again!

Congratulations Mark!!!! Truly epic adventure :D Cheers:

That qualifies as a Good, the Bad and the Ugly adventure! That hippo would have been a cool mount with the snare on his neck.

You make me miss Africa soooooooo much

Mark, I am so happy for you....what an awesome hunt! Your perseverance to get it done despite the physical challenges is aspiring to me! Can't wait to come see you in El Campo and relive the memories.

Also, your writing of this hunt report has energized me to get off my ass and write my hunt report as well.

Well, to repeat what so many others have said… A very hearty congratulations on completing an epic hunt. You persevered through arduous conditions and in the end it paid off handsomely with a very nice elephant and perfect hippo to take.

Sometimes the very toughest hunts are the ones we remember most fondly. Safe travels to home, my hat is off to you on a stellar adventure achieved!

Appreciate the writeup!

This is a hunt I strongly considered aswell, as I can't import to Canada. But went a different route for a safari now. But great to see your report.

You showed great tenacity and kept going and didn't pack it up. Those are the hunts that you remember the most.
