Cherry bourbon bounce
A bottle of bourbon ( turkey 101)
A quart or so of wild black cherrys
Honey to taste about 1/2 pint ( black gum touplo) works for me
You could use vanilla been or a good extract
I like about 1/2 a pint of crown royal vanilln.
Let stand about 6 months makes a good sipper

Growing up in the 80 in fl southern comfort was a big beach drink.
There mix book had a sc screwdriver sc and equal oj and pineapple juice mix.

And sc with lemonade ( any whiskey really) is good on a hot day

So there you have it, one of any number of drinks invented by Hemingway. He was obviously an early trendsetter for the restorative properties of coconut water before it was sitting on supermarket shelves. And in case you’re wondering the name Green Isaac comes from the Great Isaac Cay. It’s a small Bahamian island right in the infamous Bermuda Triangle.

Once he bought a house in Key West,Hemingway wrote to his publisher saying “Will plant more limes and coconuts. Wish you could plant a gin tree.” The Green Isaac Special is the embodiment of that sentiment, a cocktail perfect for a sweltering summer day. The Green Isaac Special is pretty much a variation on a Tom Collins: lime juice replaces lemon juice, coconut water replaces club soda, and then given Hemingway’s aversion to the stuff the dose of sugar disappears entirely.

Reminded me of a drink I made in the past, 'Rhubarb Tom Collins, make a simple syrup from boiled Rhubarb and sugar. YUMMMMM.

Orange rye whiskey old fashion or a Chipas Mexican style

  • 4 oz orange-infused whiskey (or standard high-quality whiskey)
  • 1/4 oz rich simple syrup (or 1 sugar cube muddled with a splash of water)
  • 2-3 dashes aromatic bitters
  • 2-3 dashes orange bitters
  • 1 large orange peel (for garnish)
  • Large ice cube & rye whiskey pickled cherry

Chipas Mexican

  • 3oz Blanco Tequila
  • 1 oz. Orange Liqueur (like Cointreau or Triple Sec)
  • 1 oz. Freshly Squeezed Lime Juice
  • 1/2 oz. Fresh Orange Juice (the secret to that bright, smooth flavor)
  • 1/2 oz. Agave Nectar
  • Ice cube
  • Request sango, or 4th rabbit when you are in Africa

Easy margarita

1 can limeade concentrate dump in a blender
Fill can filled with tequila dump in blender
Refill can with Grand Marnier liquor dump in blender
Mix it
Pour over ice cubes / rocks

Thats not a Face Melter, take a 20oz glass, pour in 4 types of flavored vodka (the fruity ones), pour in some Sprite, pour in some red wine, mix it up and serve with Ice.

Sounds terrible but in college it did the trick.
 
I really like experimenting with the old fashioned. One I do is I take ice and put it in a cake pan and put it on my smoker for a hr and a half at 150. Then take the water and freeze it again and it gives me a smokey drink. I tend to lean to the rye side and around 90-100 proof.

First, in a large pot, pour Jack Dan halfway. Then, add another half of the other half of Jack Dan. After that, at high speed, drink two sips from the bottle from which we poured Jack into the glass, and then add 3 ice cubes to the glass.
Note: it is not recommended to melt the ice, quickly test the liquid, and then repeat the procedure!
 
This is how my father mixed a manhattan.
Fill a rocks class with crushed ice. Fill to 1/2 inch from top with Makers Mark. Then just a splash of 50/50 dry and sweet vermouth. 1/2 teaspoon marchino cherry juice and a merchino cherry. Dad's no longer with us but on his birtdate and day of his passing, I like to mix one of these and make a toast to his memory. He was a great guy and took me on many adventures as a boy.

You need a large blender and fill with ice.

-Half a handle of cheap gin, no need to use anything nice.
-one can/tube of frozen lime concentrate
-juice of 7 small lemons
-2 fist fulls or more of fresh mint leave. Must be fresh picked. (more mint than you think)

Blend until nice and smooth, Find body of water and enjoy. But get ready to blend another batch...
 
A variation of the classic Screwdriver (vodka and orange juice):

Prune juice and vodka…..it’s called a Pile driver.
 
Bourbon neat…lots of good ones and to many to mention.

Refreshing easy drinker is Apple crown and ginger ale.

Best quality Scotch from the Island of Islay.
Open bottle
Poor 30ml into glass
Lift to mouth and sip.
Suck in air if you like.

Keep it simple.
 
Never liked mixed drunks myself. Good moonshine sipped from a Mason jar with friends, or a Spey or Highland single malt, neat. I don't like to contaminate my liquor.
