Crispi boots overkill?

If you’re walking less than 3 miles per day, Bring the Crispis, but also bring a lighter boot (like a Salomon X Ultra or Lowa Zephyr) for the hotter afternoons. I rotated boots.

You don't need $300 shoes/boots to hunt Africa. I hunted there twice. The terrain is dry and mostly flat. Any comfortable footwear will suffice. I used $60 hiking boots off Amazon.

Midway USA. Wear your most comfortable boot . Cold is not a problem

Give me a rugged boot (like Crispi) any day.

I will be wearing Kenetrek Safari's on my next hunt in Africa.

I've worn Danner boot's on my last two trips, and they were fine.

IME, there are people who can wear mountaineering boots and not make a sound and others who wear flip flops and sound like a mariachi band on the march through the forest.

It's all about knowing how to walk silently.

Just back from Namibia. Wore Crispi Attiva mid height boots. Worked great. Wear whatever you find comfortable.

Bought my leather gators at an agriculture store in Namibia a few years ago. About $25 US for ones with a zipper up the back.

I'll even go out on a limb here.

Experienced hunters are able to stop their gait immediately. Inexperienced people almost can not.

Experienced woodsmen "test" their next step, before applying their weight. Inexperienced people hardly ever do.

It's very easy to see.

If you know what you are looking at, you can tell, just by sitting on a park bench and observing the way people walk.

If someone walks with their feet pointed straight ahead, you could put money one them having outdoor experience.

People who walk with their toes pointed outward, like a duck, almost always take another step or two before coming to a complete stop.

OK, I'm the weirdo who pays attention to these things and let's the HOA president fine me for letting my grass get 1/2" too high...

I’m sitting in the Kalahari right now in my Crispis. They’re a bit of an overkill for this sandy terrain, but last week we were hunting in the mountains of central Namibia. In that rocky terrain the Crispis were barely adequate.

See you are from Denmark - see quite a few Danes where I stalk in Scotland - great hunters.
The Harkilia stuff works well in Africa - I have a bit for use here in UK.
I am again looking for 600 Nitro dies preferably RCBS 1 inch. The set I purchased previously are 1 1/2 inch and do not fit my die. Another member has graciously taken them off my hands. If anyone happens to have a set of 600 Nitro Dies that will fit my Rockchucker Supreme RCBS press, please shoot me a message and thanks in advance for any assistance you may have to offer!
I have not posted any items for sale on this forum and will not every put anything for sale. My account was hacked and I've worked with the admin to get things shut down.
