Advise On 9.3x62 Mauser

Good day Everyone.

Can i please have some advise and history on a 9.3x62 Mauser rifle, I did put the rifle up for sale, but something just tells me, i am making a mistake.

i would appreciate the knowledge from you guys if i need to sell or keep the rifle.

I can't help at all but someone on this forum cam i bet. It looks like Ferlach scroll and engraving to me...much like a Sodia.
 
At first glance it looks like a pre war build off a military action. Most likely built by a German gunsmith.

Do you have a close up of the sides of the action?
 
I hope you are kidding about putting it up for sale. First aa couple of questions. Are you a hunter or collector of fine arms?

I am a hunter, but this rifle will just be in my safe forever, will not hunt with it at all, don't want to damage it.
And the people making offers on it, is crazy, i know its worth money, not peanuts, or i can be wrong.
 
its good that you are trying to find more info on it
you are the seller, its your responsibility to know the history or any other info on the gun to make it worth more, or worth xxx value

if you do not then it is worth what someone is prepared to pay for it

i personally like to use my guns, equipment, anything actually, even if its expensive i dont personally see how something sitting n a safe can give you joy, but thats me.

Defnitly Tally-Ho, someone else can have the fun with the rifle, i do have my .300Mag H&H, and have a lot of kills with it.

If you are not selling the gun, why did you post it in the classifieds section?

There are much better sections of this forum for questions.

The rifle is for sale, i did just ask for advise, is that not why this group is also there with all of the knowledge the guys have. That's all Matt, just advise buddy, and if it is put on the wrong chat group, its sorted now.
But appreciate your feedband advise.

I am not an expert, but it could be a Zivilmauser rifle with a 3/4 stock African Type in a high quality version. If that is the case, there are not that many and are highly desirable by collectors.

The same style also existed for the Carabine Rival from Manufrance, but the name RIVAL should be written on the receiver and I only know in this version rifles caliber 10,75x68.

Thanks for all of the feedback given so far, here is the back story, so if you work on South African Rand, one guy said R15K,another said R20k,R35k.

My opnion from the start was , its a special rifle, and its for a collector, its should me worth more.
