Would like to find a .416 Kimber Caprivi or similar. Have a .375 Caprivi but looking for additional power. I understand a .375 will do it all however I just want to add one to the collection. I have been looking at Parkwest (Dakota) some of the custom Winchesters and CZ’s, not familiar with all the options.

I have a custom Robert Mason 416 Rigby built on a CZ 550 action and Lilja barrel. Gorgeous rifle and never been fired. Have my go to gunsmith regulating express sights, polishing action and jeweling the bolt to finish the rifle. DM me if this is of interest.

BTW, I am a bg fan of 416 Rigby over 375. I find it very comfortable to shoot and ready for anything. Have taken Elephant, Buff, Hippo and plenty of plains game at 200 yds+ and an Eland at 300 yds on flood plains of Coutada 11.

Might have to get 416 ruger unless its win model 70 not many 416 rem mags thesd days .I have 4 awesome guns two rem 700s from custom shop and one custom made weatherby one win model 70 express super grade .The rem 700 stainless kevelar stock is my favorite added bld floor plate and muzzle break .The 416 rem mag is my limit on recoil to shoot good .

I am hoping to get after buffalo in the next few years, was in Botswana's May 2025, up in the air if I am doing a trip with CVS for sable/Nyala and a few other low cost animals, or Tsala in Mozambique for Buffalo in 2027, heading to SCI and it depends on who is tagging along on which trip happens first. I am looking for an elephant as well at some point which is what’s really driving me towards the .416. Would love to do the double rifle but that’s more than the hunt. I am under the impression that the .416 is a great all around caliber. I don’t know much about the CZ’s but it certainly can’t hurt to look.

You can probably get a very good condition Dakota Rifle for a good price!!

You won't go wrong hunting with Tsala Hunting Safaris!

Well @Lnease81 this will fit your needs....I have one...barrel shortened and in a B&C synthetic stock....great accurate rifle

Take a look at the Ruger Safari Magnum in 416 Rigby. Unfortunately, Ruger has discontinued this rifle, but they are available on the used market. A lot of gun for your $$.

A quick search on gun broker turns up a few 416 Rigby’s and a couple of 416 Remington’s.

I called on that gun today and it sold. Sold in less than a day
That’s exactly what I am looking for, appears so are some other folks.

I would look for a Ruger M77 RSM in 416 Rigby. There are usually a few around for sale. The RSM line was the best Ruger ever built. They tend to go for $3000 to $4000 these days but are still an incredible value for what you get.

I have one that I took to Namibia. I used it on Leopard, Kudu, Gemsbok and Red Hartebeest. All one shot kills using hand loaded 400 grain Swift A-frame bullets. Had a Trijicon 1.25x4 power scope worked great! IMHO you can't go wrong with the .416 Good luck in your search!
